A thought just struck me, wouldn't it be cool if someone ported OP4 to Source and made new levels and an entirely different ending (including and alternate ending). I think a project like this would be very successful, and it seems a lot of people want to see Shepherd again. Also, maybe the same thing could be done with BS.

Valve will be porting halflife and all of its mods to Source including Opposing Force and Blue Shift.
