WoW best mmropg?

Hands down is world of warcraft, I can't get enough of it. Sure the graphics are not the best but the gameplay is like 2000/10 there is always something rewarding to do. lol Im barely installing it since I got so hooked up on halo 2 that I forgot to finish my dl.

I'll like to know what you guys think of it.

PS:As aside note I'll like to point out I've been following mmropgs for a while.

I got bored of it really fast but that's just me. MMORPGs tend to bore me because I feel like I'm going no where at all.
 
I don't like group forced MMORPGs. Sure the lower levels you can solo but then you're forced to join a party to get anywhere. Then people say you can solo but you gotta be a class you don't want to be and you have to spend an ungodly amount of time doing it. I'm sure tons of people like the groups that's why so many people play them but that's a turn off for me. That's why I tend to stick to single player RPGs lol.
 
this is the first mmorpg ive ever played..and i was really hyped into getting into the open beta..but now that i play it..im kinda disappointed..the game didnt really "hook" me on to the game..but at least now i have something to play while waiting for half life 2
 
Wow is the best ive played, but i dont see how it brings anything new really to the table. but its really well made.
 
I hated EQ 1, but i'm really loving EQ 2 at this time. The graphics are amazing, and i'm having lots of fun right now. Currently level 8. We'll see how I do along the line, but right now its a blast. And its free since its my bro's account. I just play it when he doesn't =P
 
Never played it, but I will start playing it sometime in the near future. I just have to save some money for christmas ATM.

I got all the way to 21 solo.... don't know what you are talking about.

thats one thing they attempted to do in WoW, make almost every part of the game solo'able. (they even said, if you can't solo something to let them know)

I think WoW is the best MMorpg I have ever played and I have played a lot of them.
there is no downtime, they thought of nearly everything you could want, from chat channels, friends lists, the ability to show off an item in text (in other words pressing enter to enter your text, then shift clicking an object.. that will make the object clickable in your sentence so others can view the item instead of you having to type it all out).... etc etc etc

theres like no downtime.
I like the way crafting is handled, very satisfying... but at the same time I wish there were more things I could make.

although there are tons of different types of armor and stuff I wish more of it would change the model somehow rather than the skin constantly.

I wish helmets weren't High level items.. thats just silly.

I like wearing sets of armor, crafting and armor make most mmorpgs for me (I love customization)

I wish they would implement the ability to dye cloth/leather/armor even if it took a skill, or dye tub like in UO... theres nothing shittier when you are wearing purple, brown and blue mismatched clothes but they are good items...

Mounts, being high level items is retarded too.... why not make high level mounts that are worth the cash (like a battle horse, or the undead battle horses.. make them more powerful faster and able to attack your enemies, then make them the expensive one)
then make mounts of a low level with low hp, but faster than player speed.. for lowbies.

I reallllly hate some of the traveling, it is where the downtime comes in... the world is HUGE, and if you dont have a flight path to somewhere, you have to spend an hour or two running there.

The thing about WoW is that it takes everything any other MMORPG has done and polished it and threw it in. Nothing new, everything is the same as any other MMORPG out there, just nice and clean and perfected.

It's taken things other games have taken years to perfect, and mashed them together to make the game. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just a bit disappointing. Personally when I look at a game I'm going to be paying $15 a month for, I'm looking for something a little bit fresher than WoW.

I played the beta and leveled up to about 20 and by then I felt like I did in EQ... like there wasnt much to look forward to.
 
IMO WOW is the best MMORPG out there. i would say the best 2 MMOs are WOW and Planetside, but personally i prefer rpgs. so yes. it is.
 
Mr. Redundant I wasn't talking about WoW there I was just saying I don't like those types of MMORPGs lol.

WoW is the best MMO i've played. I'm completely addicted to it...played from 10:30am yesterday all the way till 3am :afro: My ass was hurting so bad from sitting down all day.... :(

Also i ask what can possibly compare to /train and /chicken ;)
 
I've played half a dozen MMORPGs (not counting planetside) and i think WoW is the best. And the ammount of work they have done since the first stress test is crazy, its so much better and purtyer
 
I love Wow. lvl 12 mage right now. Having so much fun.

Don't get me wrong I love swg too....just WoW is a completely different expirience from swg...and I like it.
 
The one thing that kinda pisses me off about WoW (and some other MMO's) is the lil picture of the item/weapon may not look anything like what it really is. I bought a sheild thinking it was going to look all metal but it was all wooden....damn. I just think its hard to make your character match in gear if you have to blindy buy things.

But i still like it so far. :thumbs:
 
Damn im trying to log into WOW now but im getting connection errors, anyone else having this problem now?

Also when i did get connected for a little bit i saw that server test 27 was no longer there....
 
All the servers seem to be down at the moment.

I agree. EQ2 is a blast! I played the WoW beta at a friends house and I thought that I was a whole lot of fun. Personally, I like EQ2 better.
