I've never played warcraft before but what I took from the videos out for WoW is that I can explore a HUGE world and fight AI controled creatures with my buddys? or fight other people correct?

anyway, ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS YOU WANT ABOUT THE CURRENT PATCH, and i will answer them all!!! like for example, what the train is like, how do the trade skills work without skill points etc. etc.

actually, all that was was an extra signup to the current ones. It would haev made no difference whether i had signed up woth that or whether i had signed up on the official site, but i owe you thanks anyway, because i couldnt be arsed to sign up on the official site 'coz i didnt think i'd get in. But that link was just so tanatalising...

anyway, i would offer that you could share my account as thanks, but if blizzard finds out multiple IPs have been using an account they delete it :/

come to beta server 1, you can see big men on big horses, and level 60 uber guys with mallets etc.

i started on beta server 2 with a undead warlock, it was kinda kewl but the lack of high level characters annoyed me. so i made a neew character

Bah..are you kidding me? I had a 19 warlock and there were 4 warlocks higher than me on my server. I should've joined the smallest server.

considering the time between patches, the time between signup and playing could be a while.....

the only reason there will be more patches is because the last one completely f*cked it up.

Basically, they brought in a new patch that took away skill points (meaning you dont have to get impossible amounts to advance in your trade skill) and replaced it with only being able to have 2 skills. The death animations were smoother, and it was ow in black and white. They also added many more sounds- now when you click on something it says "hello, how are you"? etc. They also fixed loads of bugs, and added some new high level areas as well as huge alliance boats and a Stormwind > ironforge train.

then they brought out another patch 3 days later. this one changed the camera slightly, making it 10 times more annoying, and theres also a glitch that means wehn you sit in a chair the camera moves INTO the chair and you cant see anything. They also changed the death system again- now instead of being black and white, it GLOWS blue and white, and you cant see A THING. on most levels except for the very, very dark like darkshire you are actually blinded and have to rely solely on the minimap. and you dont even want to go to a snowy place... the screen is just WHITE. plus, they DOWNGRADED the graphics to suit Nvidea cards, but while it was supposed to improve performance it just added a whole load of graphical glitches and now youre lucky to play for a couple of hours without the game crashing randomly. and now when you enter a crowded area like the auction house (maybe its because im from the UK i dont know) instead of just going glitchy, teh entire game just gives up and dies on me. darn!

but despite these glitches, I HAVE FAITH IN BLIZZARD!! they will fix all these problems and make it 10X better than ever. you just watch!

They didn't downgrade the graphics.. try turning up the sliders. Anyhow, as for the death change.. it looks beautiful when it's NOT buggy, the fix until they fix it in a patch is to just turn off the Bloom effect.

And, I've had less crashing bugs than ever, no problems at all with dozens of people on screen at the AH.. sounds like your problem

probally because your on beta server 2... on beta server 1 there have been loads of crashes, the day the patch was released there were hundereds of people saying they were incountering more.

and they HAVE downgraded the graphics, but not noticably. when i say downgraded i dont really mean theyve made it LOOK worse, i mean theyve made it neater and use up less polygons or soemthing. but (for me) the fact they have done this to improve the Nvidea performance has left me and my ATI card with glitches.

anyway, moving away from the negative points (of which there are little, despite my moaning) im making a guild called the Suicide Squad the only problem is i doubt many will want to join, especially with the open beta storming closer every day...
