It is a serious addiction... the whole reason between having random rewards in between leveling up is because it's proven to be more addictive that way (psychology stuffs). I'm sure everyone here has heard of the 'skinner box'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skinner_box

I've never played WoW, but I have played Lineage. It's been maybe 5 years since I've played an MMO, but I still get 'cravings'.
