WOW. This is as close to an answer to it all as you could EVER get. v2

It's alright.

I've seen better articulated theories though.

It wasn't bad, interesting to read.
But he thought that Opposing Force happened after Half-Life. In fact it happened while Half-Life was still going on. Which makes little bits of his story incorrect.

Nice try though :)

Wow, that theroy is great! I never knew that the Gman never wanted Gordon... Then again, I never understood alot of things in HL1...

It makes more sense then anything I have read so far, though.

Meh, the more things make sense, the more wrong they tend to be when the sequel comes along.

I remember lots of theories surrounding the matrix movies, lots of them were much better than what actually happened. Hopefully that won't happen :(

Good read, but less accurate than that other one I think, and too much random wild speculation.

Makes the fatal mistake of attributing intention incorrectly. People sometimes forget that these are games when they come up with these things. The usage of G Man to support Sheppard as opposed to him just observing Gordon would likely have just been to use G Man in different ways and stuff.

Overall, it's pretty rubbish with too many unsubstantiated assertions. God I hate stupid people.

I feel I am in The Matrix again!!!!

everyone is telling diffrent ways of how the story is going to be in the upcoming part/s

confused :|

I think most of the core ideas in there are probably spot on...they're not big leaps of faith.
And Opposing Force took place during AND after Half-Life, so hes not actually wrong there.

it is good, some stuff i didn't know. But alot of refreshing my memory from the other histroy of halflife treads i read.

That was probably the best theory I've read so far. But I always knows the real story of HL-HL2 from Valve and it's timeline.
