Today, September 11th, two years ago, the World Trade Center Towers were attacked by planes hijacked by terrorists. Let us remember the ones who died to save the innocent, and let us honor this day.

R.I.P. :(

Of course they help. Don't you take a picture of your dog after he gets hit by a car, and put it up on the wall to remember him?

.......................

I didn't loose anyone on 9/11, but it is my mother's birthday. Not sure what to GET her for her birthday, but I was thinking of getting her a 10' by 4' wall hanging of those exact pictures. She's a sucker for that sort of thing.

/sarcasm off

Seriosuly, show pictures of the people you have lost, not of them DYING!

You both need to shut the **** up. You missed the guy's point entirely. He is not showing a mangled corpse so your dog analogy can go back in your ass where you found it. I go to Fort Benning for infantry training in 2 months, then they will send me to the middle east. This is a reminder of one of the reasons I will be fighting.

I know he meant well, but does showing a mangled corpse to a loved one help them? NO!
I am tired of people posting those "in rememberance."
I saw those damn pictures on September 11th played in video OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. They cut off EVERY cable channel and rebroadcasted that footage 200 thousand times over the next week or so. The people who died don't need to be remembered this way. They need to be remembered with pictures of them, and pictures of thier family, and footage of our men and women fighting the bastards who did it. This is not constructive at all.

Exactly what I was thinking...Show them in their glory, not being attacked. I know you meant well Yatta but you should think things through.

Yeah, i live in Sweden.
Its right now on the news.

[EDIT] - Even though i live quite far away from Stockholm its not nice knowing that a killer is loose somewhere in Sweden (if the person's still here in Sweden)

Sad, sad day. Not only because of all those people who died, but because some are using those death to get rich, powerful and make even more death.

You should come to the USA...we have no less than 1000 killers loose at any time...

I have already been to U.S (N.Y and FL).
I actually didnt think of it so much then.
But its quite sad really, so many people that dies every minute.

well shit like that happens alot in countries in the middle east, dont see any memorials for those people. Sure, its a sad thing to happen but when America is the victim everything and everyone should feel sorry for them, but other countries dosent matter..

As a semi-survivor of Sept. 11 I really feel kind of bad now. I could have stayed behind and helped people but most likely I would have just been killed or injured. :(

were you in the WTC? Share your story ;(

Nah I don't like to talk about it too much. Basically I came to work early. I wasn't in the 2 towers themselves, I was in a smaller building right next to them. So I had 30 minutes or so to get away from the area.

The scariest part was when the first building collapsed. It looked and sounded like a nuclear explosion. At first I just stood there and watched and then somebody far behind yelled "Run!!! The shockwave is approaching!." And then I see this wave of dust, about 20 stories high and moving at about 50 mph towards me. Then I just ran like hell. I actually outran it somehow and hid in a store.

RIP victims of 9/11.

I'll stop expressing my thoughts right there before I spout off something that could get me in trouble about other things in this topic.
