WTF Steam?!

WTF? I'm really angry, I've just come home and want to play CS, but Steam asked my password, which has never happened before, and when I typed it in it rejected it, when trying to create a new account it also said it couldn't, and when I tried to reset my password via my email account Steam said that no such account was registered??!?!!

Anyone else having problems?

I've had this problem three times now. Luckily I bought the HL Platinum edition which comes with 5 different cd keys. Each time I've had to use a different one and create a new account, but I did it with the same email address. I've sent 3 emails to the sorry-ass steam support, but no one ever writes me back. I use the same password for everything so I know that I haven't forgotten it. If CS weren't so damn fun I'd drop steam in a second.

It happened to me before. And i thought "i wonder why that happened", then i remember i lent my copy of HL to about 10 different people (with cdkey written on the case) when i was at school many years ago.

Either buy a new copy of CS or HL or DOd, or PM Taylor Sherman on the steam forums and try to sort it out.

I also was having problem so i uninstalled and reinstalled steam. It took me 20 tryes to gte the update to download and to create my new account. But now the problem im having is that they wont send me the verification email. Thats all i need.
I was pulling my hair out thinking that only i was having this problem. I spent about 3 hours trying to fix a unfixable problem. Im addicted to steam and i need my fix. :E

yea, today it asked me for my password and it says that it cannot connect to the steam network, and concidering that i'm on the internet and logged onto my aim name i don't think it's my internet. It says that, yet it updated my "steam platform" even though it says it can't connect to the feaking network. I haven't given my cd key from anyone, and it is a legal cd key. I try to create a new account and i never get the darned email. Not sure if it's just me or everybody.

edit: fixed, can login now, but it won't send the freaking verification email!!!

Yeah, I haven't gotten the e-mail yet either.

They seem to do everything at once. No wonder it's slow.

man i fell yall's pain... lol i tried steam a long tima ago (few years) and it ate my email... then i tryed again and it ate my cd-key and rejected me then it said no such acount then it wouldnt even update right!@!! so i restart steams lagging my camp like hell then i try clicking it off click it CLICK OFF YOU @!@#$$$ piece of@*#$!!!! it finnaly closes and my comp loads then i start steam and try a new acount it spits my email back at me then says invalid on both my key and my email... (at this point you can imagine im ripping my hair out) im scraching the screen (bad idea now my screens inky) then i try reinstaling it well GUSSE WHAT? IT DINT WORK!!! so the next day i smashing the wall yelling at my sister to get off the internet so i can stop lagging... i load up steam and WoAH IT UPDATED!!! AND COPYEd CSTIKE INTO A NEW FOLDER!!! AMAZEING so when i try to play it give me more BS so i walk off and play unreal 2... then i tryed again and it told me my cd-key was invalid no such acoutn exists... so i scream to the top of my lungs shakeing the screen yelling WORK YoU PIECE OF ****!!! and at that point i probly gave up.. i still play on the texas killing grounds | TkG if anyone challanges me... trinityxero / .338probullet


the bottom line... STEAM = CRAP it was a seriously bad move and valve needs to close it down and keep the WON servers up...

Sure it did, how can a program eat something? I find that rather amusing, how about you take your butt over to steampowered.com forums and PM taylor about your so called "misshapp"(however the hell you spell it, I don't care.)
