Why is every dod:s server just spectators, it's so damn annoying. Why is this, are they all bots or something? This is stupid, I can't even find a server with real people in it, so I just deleted the whole game!

ya it's hard to create traffic in dods. So lazy server admins just put bots on their server and let it go. You can tell they are bots by viewing the server info and looking at the pings if they are -1 ms then it's a bot not a person.

This is getting annoying in most Source related games. Search for a CSS game and half of the servers have 40 bots in them.

Ok, I didn't know you can tell by clicking server info, thanks. I think valve should do something about this though, maybe 1 bot max or something. This is kinda ruining the game to me, must be half as many people playing as I think there are.

o ya i almost forgot

you can set a bot filter in "filter" in your server browser

that way you don't see any server that only have bots in it, you can do this for any source game

Yup a lot of the things everyone wants is built into the game, sometimes it's hard or just plain odd to find

the fixes for the tabs in the browser windows going all to the left of the screen has an odd fix

Same with the favorites not saving: set your filter to secure servers only (even if the server is unsecure) now u can save favorites again

I honestley think the players amount in the server list should only list ACTUAL PLAYERS, not 64 damn bots who just sit in the spectator bin doing nothing. I beleive bots are good, but when they're used as a way to scam people into coming into an empty server it's just wrong.

now after this last update they have taken the 'Bot' issue father.

Now in your server list the Number to the far left is the number of bots in the server.


idk if they messed with the filter i would asume not.

Yea, I forgot about it because I stopped playing DOD:S but I guess now you can click and see what servers have bots and how many in it, so click it I guess if you really don't want them, and then all the ones with out bots will be in order. That's what I'm going to do if I decide to play again.

I've never managed to enter a server with only bots. How do you guys do it? ^^
