WTF, indeed. Someone makes a movie about Geisha and you automatically assume he/she was inspired by a comic book artist? Have you never heard the term "Geisha" before? Did you think William Tucci invented that kind of make-up? They've only been around for.... oh, I don't know... centuries.

Oh, and FYI the movie (Memoirs of a Geisha) is based on the serious and critically-acclaimed book of the same name by Arthur Golden.

edit: not to mention that the art pictures are very clearly American faces, whereas the photograph is of an Asian woman in her own national dress?

Anyone plan on seeing this? I read some of the book and it was pretty good. Anyone read the whole book? I think I'll see it when it comes out. I haven't been to the theater in a while.
