has anyone brought of them before and are they good at delivery times?

Gameplay are great for delivery- they'll get it to you on release day if you pre-order a game.

Absolutely fantastic retailer. Always get pre-ordered games a day before they're due out in the shops. On the other hand, I find that play have a very slow delivery time, 2-4days. Sometimes even more :-\.

yeah ive been using gameplay for years. i got san andreas on release day and football manager 2005 a day before its new date that had been brought forward like a few days before. cheap and quick.

gameplay.co.uk got me far cry 2 days before realease and doom 3 one day before release. they're extremelly good.

plus kpeh meant play.com for the slow delivery times

What I meant was, that while with Gameplay, if it's due out in the shops on say, the Friday, gameplay will ship it to me so it will arrive for Thursday morning. And by contrast, packages from Play take so long in the post, that they don't arrive until after the release date (implied it, rather than stated, shouldn't have really).

This isn't very fair to Play - I've had games (Thief III springs to mind) arrive on release day from Play, although it's hardly guaranteed.

I ordered from play, and it says it was shipped to me yesterday, so should be here tommorrow.

Well, that's my experience!

Speaking on behalf of Gameplay (and other UK mainland based retailers) any unfairness towards Play is easily balanced by the fact that they can provide games at a greatly reduced price because they don't pay VAT.

This loophole has been around for ages and as well as Play we now have mx2.co.uk and powerplaydirect.com. For punters its great! (e.g. £17.99 for Bloodlines from the latter place).

(Back on topic) Gameplay are best for delivery. Remember to add 99p for 1st class. A friend got HL2 from them on Saturday when their 1st batch was shipped...the rest should arrive tomorrow...

Yea, Gameplay are great, I ordered San Andreas on the Friday, received it Saturday morning.

So although it isnt on the website as despatched, mine should come tomorrow?

I remember when gameplay used to have free 1st class delivery and when they used to run wireplay back when wireplay was really really big. Ive never really had problems with delivery play.com i have had DvDs from them early though. Although i seem to have found play.com prices have gone up abit or everyone else has gone down. I hate amazon though. Im sure when all these internet retail companies get big they then start increasing prices, doesnt make sense. Gameplay did it but i think there prices went down again but the free 1st class never returned.

Gameplay are great i orderd something off there it came on release or day before can't remember. I orderd HL2 off there so they must be alright.
