X-Men trailer released!

Damn you beat me to it. Words can't describe what I just saw.:eek: ]
its Generation X, its Back to the Future Past story arc, Its when X-Men split up into Gold and Blue, its the Pheonix Saga all rolled up into one. I swear if I see a Sentinel I WILL have a heart attack.:rolling:
 
Seems better than the last two, but nonetheless still a standard summer blockbuster flick.
 
Am I the only one who thinks this looks like another cheesy, crappy, and cliche excuse for a movie?

Why didn;t they sign Bryan Singer again? Even though the trailer cut was fairly cool, something tells me Brett Ratner has f*cked this up. Sadly, I'll be watching it either way.

Pretty much how I feel. I'm pretty sure its going to be shit. It just sounds totally off the ball. Pharmaceutical company developing a cure? It just doesn't sound as though it has any of Singers wit, and instead comes off as crap.
 
well it's more of they've hacked and slashed thirty years of stories, completely changed all the important elements and rewrote some of the more interesting bits of x-men history and condensed everything to fit into a nice neat 90 minute package ..for example

Jean Grey died before Kitty Pryde ever joined the x-men, Warren Worthington (the angel) was an original member of the xmen as was Beast

that's just from the top of my head as I cant watch the vid cuz I'm at work

He is, he signed for the Superman movie after Fox failed to sign him soon enough for X3
 
I just watched the first two for the first time last week, and I was actually impressed with them. I had figured they were just generic comic-based movies... but I dunno, I quite liked them.

But this movie looks great, if ya ask me. I have no idea about the X Men storyline or anything like that... so yeah, I'm sure they botched everything to hell... but why does that matter? It shouldn't... just judge the movie, not what the movie is based on. And changing directors doesn't automatically make a sequel suck :angel:

I really do like how the closing shot of the 2nd one kind of hinted at the characters in this one, too. And I've gotta say, Wolverine was one of the most badass characters in any action movie I've seen... I hope he stays that way. There are lots of actors I like in X3, too... like the Phone Booth guy :D

Hold up, I gotta watch that shiznit again. :p



I've got to ask, is "Jean" an actual X-Men character? Cuz it seems as if she was just thrown in for the movies...
 
yes Jean Grey was one of the original members from the very first xmen comics


I too enjoyed the movies ..but it does iritate me that throughout both movies I thought to myself over and over again "hey they took that from issue 137 ..but changed it completely"

The thing I liked the very, very least about the movies was the whole Jean, Wolverine, Cyclopes love triangle. Which made no sense whatsoever. Its as if they just had to add it in. It was probably in the comics, huh? I thought it was annoying and made no sense, like usual when they add annoying love stories in the middle of movies which shouldn't have them (ahem... Lord of the Rings)

I just thought it was weird that Jean was the only character without some sort of nickname. :p
 
yes I am an xmen fan boy ...or was more than 15 years ago. I had every issue from about xmen 108(1978) to about issue 300 (1993)

well she did have a nick name in the early days: Marvel girl ...so you can see why they dont use it any more ...she was called Phoenix after issue 101

Hmm I enjoyed it. Would love to see the movie..then again, my father will probably jump hoops for it. I think mutants are the red rain, come from the comet that Sonic bursted.
