Hey was just wondering what you guys thought about this. Is it worth the extra 100$ to get the XT x800? or is the x800 pro enough ya think and not worth the extra?

Thanks in advance.

its worth it. you can try your luck at a x800 pro VIVO to an XT softmod, but a safer bet would be getting a real x800xt, overclocking to platinum speeds and beyond. if you DONT want to spend the extra $100, get a 6800gt.

I have been planning on getting the x800 xt very soon but waiting on my paycheck. I am a ATI fan so i really am not interested in the 6800GT. I'm sure its a good card just i love the way ATI cards handle AA and such just perference really. I've heard about the ViVo mod you can do over at new egg but i really dont think its smart to try any kind of modding to something that expensive. (Even though it could be easily fixed problem if something went wrong) 400 so dollar paperweight sounds like a bad thing :)

There is the X800XT PE for 499$ MSRP (16 pipelines)
X800XT for 450$ (16 pipelines)
then there is the X800Pro for 399$ (12 pipelines)

Check out the regular X800XT (AGP).

Yeah, if you like ATI, I'd say the X800XT is way better than the (shitty) 12 pipe X800 Pro.
