x800 with hl2 coupon

I recently bought a radeon x800 and it came with a hl2 coupon. My question is this...

So you can download it & get it on cd if u wish?

i just wanna know if u can do it 2 ways :bonce:

You can either enter the code now (Steam) and recieve the Valve Premier Pack (CS, DOD, HL etc..) or wait until HL2 is released, then you can enter the code to instantly play HL2 (it will preload). I don't know if you can use the code to play on the release, and mail in to recieve the actual CD, but it's worth a shot

Well the cd-keys yours so I don't see why you couldn't use it to download the game while your waiting for it to be mailed to you.

It is quite possible that they might disable your "Key" after they recieve your request for the boxed copy. This would save them the troubble of removing (or not having put in) the CD-Keys in the box so you don't get 2 copies free.

what brand is your card? i bought an ATI x800 pro about 2 weeks after they came out and i didnt get any coupon.

haha. Well, I think they need to just release the game now and give the DVDs to us for free. Oh, it better be on a DVD. It better be that big. You guys do know that they will attempt to make you pay more than what it really costs to get the CD/DVD right? Here is what I say. Someone needs to get the CD/DVD then put it onto a ISO and with the law behind us burn our copies for free after downloading the ISO.

Only through Steam.

But things might change (they won't).

Which company was that X800 from? (Sapphire, GeCube and so on) And was it a Pro or a XT PE?

I rather get the Sapphire version with Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell 2. I think Sapphire offers cheap quality products... Wow, I sound like a salesman from Sapphire... Sorry!

i agree wit the dude that was talking about the saphires. they are great cards and equal to any ati out their on the market. I own a 9600 pro 256mg saphire ati radeon. it works sooo nice lol.The ati x800 is on my christmas wishlist... lol. Why get a x800 when i could a 82 camaro lol.

I'd like to know your opinion about wich manufacturer's make the better cards, i'm talking about x800 cards, pro or xt price differences too

Well, I like Sapphire's. The reason is because I have had no trouble with mine, but I believe that a lot of cards are the same. If you are a overclocking guy (which is quite easy with the overclockings tools we have to day) a Sapphire Toxic, or HIS IceQ II is to favor.

You can boost the card up 10-30 FPS in games by overclocking according to benchmark tests, and the better the cooling system on the card is the more you can juice the card.

Just to let you know. if you goto ebgames on the release date. it is more likely that you will get to play the game before EVERYONE else! HL2 will not be over 700MBs. Think about it. why would they upload 5 GBs of information to everyone. It's not going to be on a DVD for those that are asking.
Also, think about this. do you really think valve has enough upload speeds to upload that game to everyone at the same time. they said it themselves. So, everyone keep in mind that valve lied before. they can do it again. I bet it won't come out at all. lol joking. if they don't release it within a expected date I'll file a suit against them!
Think about it, they have to spend money on EVERY case that is filed against them. If enough people do it. They will get screwed.

Just a question like that
This summer ill get my new comp and i ordered a ATI Radeon X800 XT with it.
But is the X800 XT better than the X800 PRO? Which one is the best?
Personally, just with the price, i think its the XT but well...If neone could confirm that. And i dont even know what promotion ill get with it...It will be CS:CZ or HL2...But i dunno which...I would prefer CS:CZ cause i know i wont buy it and if i get it, ill be able to beta test CS:S but if i get HL2 in promo, I wont have the original CD so it sux :S. I hope ill get CS:CZ so

valve have confirmed that hl2 is "2GB compressed and 3.5GB uncompressed" so, it will be way bigger than 700mb. im guessing 3-5 cds, or a dvd. maybe they will produce both options like ut2004
