X800xl

Anyone have this card, possibly a Gigabyte X800XL Silentpipe ?
How does it perform in games etc, better than X800PRO is it ?

Well its obviously better than the PRO... i think. But you really wont see that much of a performance boost. And it might run a bit hot if its just cooled with heat pipes and no fan...

well, it cant overheat aslong as you dont flash or anything which im not doing, if it does overheat ill get new one of course

No i know it wont overheat. Else they wouldn't sell it like that. Just saying it might run a little warm. Some extra cooling might be needed.

You wont see that much of a performance boost to be honest. Unless the XL has more pipes? Does it?

It is a good card especially price/performance. It is definately better then a x800pro but not by a large margin.

I've got one, make sure you have plenty of case fans or it gets damned hot.

ATI Silencer for the win, massive cooling and is quieter than any fan i've seen that pushes the same amount of air...

also exhausts hot air out the back of the case, win win
