im going to return my xbox 360 due to me just not wanting to suspend the power bar and move it to a different spot for less overheating. i know, noone cares, but im just wondering when the ones with the new cooler processors come out, will it specify its stats on the box? how will i be able to know its the newer version? i am going to rebuy it once the cooler ones come out( since it really is an excellent system), id rather just buy an hdtv first.

Your going to return it just because you have to have a little distance between the power supply and the box...? I own a 360 and just put the console next to the tv on the stand and put the power supply on the ground, it works just fine. Although if you are concerned about overheating go spend 19 bucks on a neyo aftermarket cooler, I have one and it seems to cool the console down quite a bit. All in all, why would you bother to return it just for that reason.

As long as the power brick is a couple feet from your Xbox, and the Xbox and power brick are on a flat surface (i.e. not shag carpet), it should run fine. If it overheats even when you've done this, call Microsoft, they're pretty good about fixing up the 360s.

Are you really that lazy that you can't move the two away from each other? Damn....

:hmph:

It's not even that you have to seperate them, you don't HAVE to at all. Mine's not even as far as the cord goes and it's just fine. It's just that if you have them sitting on top of one another things are going to get a little hot.

LMFAO

Lazy person of the year. The cooler prosscesor isnt going to fix your problem, if the box is next to the 360 it will still be a lot of heat.

correction....YOU WOULD LIKE TO RETURN your xbox360 because your incredibly lazy and petty, but you wont be able to.

No retailer would take back opened, used and unfaulty goods just because you are a wierdo and dont want to move the power brick. It doesnt matter if its overheating, because the reason it is overheating is down to where you position it or how your desk, shelf or whatever is laid out. And no its not your right as a consumer to a refund, the goods are not defective and you've not been miss-sold.

Better just get used to it.

wow

as lazy as i think you are, i'll say something useful.

the new cpu's are said to be coming near the end of the year and they won't change performance, it's said that they MAY cause a price drop and SHOULD help with heat, otherwise, not really anything specific is known, i think.

honestly, just keep what you have and take the few minutes to set it up properly. :)

I thought the games would run better and you know, lower heating and such.

That's what I'm waiting for. Hopefully they'll lower the premium down to 350-300.

they won't make games run better and i doubt they'll make the price drop much.

It will run cooler, but it will not improve how games run...

You could check the manufacturing date if they have that on the box...

It's really not that big of a deal though.
