I have wireless 360 controllers and i am thinking of getting a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for my PC.
Does anybody have a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver and how well does it work?
I have read mixed reviews and i am wondering what you guys think of it.
Should i just get a wired 360 controller instead?

huh?

as far as wireless controllers go, the 360 has it built in.

do you mean wireless wi-fi receiver?

It works exactly how you think it does. It honestly works like you're playing Xbox. I've had one for almost a year, and it's perfect.

I've been pondering getting one myself too, but sadly all the stores I've found here in Sweden state that it's not in production anymore! WTF!

Cheaper and it works. I use one, and if it breaks, then I know exactly where it broke.
The link you gave us seemed to be for an XB1 controller, that already has wires, hence is useless to us considering this is for if you already have 360 controllers that are wireless and want to use'em on your PC.

Also, the Wireless Gaming Receiver lets you use all 360 'controllers' on the PC, including Guitar Hero, Microsofts Wireless Racing Wheel, etc etc.

Isn't it the price of a wired controller? Just buy one of those. Not like you need to be far from your PC monitor anyway...

I have a wired 360 controller AND a wireless xbox 360 controller with adapter on my PC. I started with the wired one which is really light (without any battery pack). Apart from that, it's a bit annoying with the cable.

I only use the wireless one now, there is no difference in response time from my games. I prefer the freedom of it, the extra weight doesn't matter too much. It syncs everytime I turn it on very quickly too. Only problem with it, is there is no 'turn off' controller option through windows, so I click the battery pack out to turn it off after gaming.

HE IS NOT TALKING ABOUT CONTROLLERS I REPEAT HE IS NOT TALKING ABOUT CONTROLLERS.
He is talking about one of these.

It's for Xbox live so you dont need a cable running from your xbox to your modem. They work well but they're very overpriced like $99.99

EDIT: WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN

Umm, no.

First of all, that's not the wireless network adapter nor am i planing on buying it.

I Am talking about the Wireless Gaming Receiver (in the picture) which is only 19.99 and it lets you use yer wireless controller on your PC. I have no interest in any botched up, make it yourself abominations nor anything else.

He is. I know what he means, I have one of those in that picture sitting in front of me. It's used to make 360 controllers work wirelessly with PCs.

The wifi adapter for the 360 is this:

And he doesn't mean that...

People he is talking about getting an adapter for 360 controllers for his PC! Not a network adapter or for using on his 360!

So many dumbs.

Anyway, on topic, my friend has one of those adapters and it works awesome. You also get the get the benefit of it working with ALL the other wireless 360 devices so you're not limited to just the standard controller (if you get a wired controller, like others suggested).
