XBOX Live Setup Help

Hi, ive got a DLINK 300T ADSL MODEM which also has an ethernet port. Is it possible for me to go on xbox live with this?

ive tried it, entered my ppoe details onto XBOX Network Settings and it does not connect, when i remove PPOE settings, it finds the network ip / subnet automatically but still doesnt connect, i want to connect to xbox live direct via my modem and not the router / computer.

Hmmm, I just took the PC ethernet out of my router and popped the Xbox one in and bingo! I was live.

Why not the router?

im not good at setting up router/modem wireless. unless u cud help.

One end of the plug goes into an empty port on the router.

Other end of the plug goes into the back of your ex pox.
