I'm thinking of getting Burnout 3 on the Xbox originals thing, but I'm divided about it. Burnout 3's my favourite Burnout game, and I think the info said it had Xbox Live support, but I'm not sure.

Does anybody know whether it has Live support, and if so, does anybody go on it? If not, are there any Xbox originals I'm missing out on? Dreamfall looks good, but it's 1200MS, and I've been stung like that before.

Looked it up on Xbox.com -

GAME-PLAY ALERT: The online multiplayer features of this game are no longer supported. This game has been fully tested to successfully play on your Xbox 360 console. However, in some cases, you may see some minor irregularities with audio/video for brief periods.

Still a good game, though that new arcade game Blacklight Tango Down (awful name) is out and looks pretty good. Or Black is also another fantastic Original Xbox game available on LIVE.

Ugh, don't buy anything on Xbox Originals. Xbox games are cheap as chips second hand, get a physical copy.

Online play for all original titles has been disabled. It's probably cheaper to get a physical copy as well. Amazon is usually a good place to look. I got a copy of Shenmue II in near perfect condition for $6.00 recently.

Just get the Original copy. In 100 years your great great grandchildren will be proud to sell them for $15000 a piece

You've mentioned this so many times, it's truly bizarre how you seem so incredibly certain that by buying up a whole bunch of old video games and quote unquote collectibles you'll one day become filthy rich

Things don't work like that, man. Bad luck :(

Yeah, but XBO aint no Steam. :p

Seriously though, in most cases, even if the disc crapped out and you had to replace it twice over, you still wouldn't be paying what these games go for on XBO.

Yep, simple economics.

Take, for example, X-Men #1:

Nope, not the actual #1 issue (which is actually worth a fair bit due to being scarce), but the first issue of a new series of X-Men released in the 90s. Note the elongated cover image, this is because the same comic was made up of several different, interlocking covers, meaning true fans went out of their way to buy each version separately... even though the contents were exactly the same. But it's okay, right, because surely this kind of thing will be a collector's item some day?

This comic sold nearly EIGHT MILLION COPIES. Yeah, I'm sure it's gonna be in hot demand, like... ever.
