* Your contact list will now integrate Windows Live Messenger, and show joinable session status
* Messenger contacts can see what game you're playing, and your gamertag
* Marketplace will now have its own blade, which will be skinned independent of your theme
* Users will now get inline achievement updates
* Low-power download mode and auto-shutdown
* You can watch partially downloaded movies
* You can text chat messenger six friends playing games watching movies
* Multiple tweaks on the user interface

- Anyone know how well a USB keyboard works with the 360 ? Like, can you use it where ever the 'fake keyboard' thing is present and does it work with Media Centre ?

Heh, May 8th. Didn't even think of that actually!

Not sure if it works with media center (more than likely does), but anytime there is text input, you can use the keyboard and it works fine.

I heard the 'text chat 6 people...' thing was a private chat update, so like instead of having 4 channels which hold one person each (which equals annoying, awkward and somewhat backwards on MS' behalf) you can chat to 6 people instead.

I hope that does happen. I may of heard wrong, though - we were watching it on Youtube and the voloume wasn't the greatest.

You mean that big tray icon on the bottom that only ever says "Play Game" or "Play Movie"? Because that always bugged the shit out of me, having to get up and open the disc tray to check which game was in, then closing it, but if I wanted to browse the marketplace first I'd have to let it load and then boot back to the Dashboard... D:

Yes.

Instead of saying "Play Game" it will now say "Play Call of Duty 3" or whatever. Major Nelson said it also works with original Xbox titles as well. Cool.

I don't think it does the movies though. No word yet.

It's actually sort of a neat use of the negative space between the "horns". Thank GOD it's QWERTY instead of the ABC design of the virtual keyboard.

It is sort of neat but gads I hate trying to send messages on things like phone and trios and other such crap...
