XIII Demo, SP - English version

Thanks for the info. I wonder why it isn't on Fileplanet yet. :\
 
Sweet... To bad my CPU is 1/4mhz of the minimum demand, and my graphics card is 1/8mb :D

wippe!, at last!, I was stuck playin the french version :(, ran fine on my duron 1.1ghz and 9000pro, on high settings also, dont worry

Fileplanet has it now.

As far as the demo, the gameplay is pretty fun, the video settings menu is a little buggy though or maybe it's meant to be like that?
 
It was alright, I suppose. Nothing special, though. Just another run-of-the-mill shooter.

Ok I just finished playing some of the game, and I must say it's AWSOME. The graphics are stunning in their own uniqie cell-shaded way, and the gameplay is brought to life with the tempting background music. The sound is far beyond brilliant, and it runs smooth with no flaws.

I recommend this game to anyone who likes first person shooters in general. It's just excellent... :D
 
Just been playing it. One of the few new games that I can ruin smoothly :D It's a bit fun.
 
I hope there is some drama in that game, like love story or something. Shooting people left and right becomes very boring, even with so original style.
 
I'm thinking the MP will be pretty fun, I've read that besides the basic DM/TDM type stuff it'll have a "Bar Fight" MP mode, where you use only objects (e.g., glass, chairs, bottles) as weapons.
 
This game is awsome, i played the French version. Can't wait untill it hits the stores :D
 
good stuff other than the graphical corruption, fun game, prolly gonna buy it.
 
Wow, that game looks like it'll be really fun.
When I first heard about it and saw screenshots, I thought it would just be something that looks cool but gets boring fast... but after playing that demo I think it will be a great game.
Reminds me of Max Payne (both the panels and the action).

Anytime I try to play it my computer crashes, not just to the desktop, but it reboots. When I start up again it tells me that windows has just recovered from a critical error. What the hell is going on? I have a brand new 3.0Ghz P4, ATI Radeon 9700 pro, Asus P4C800 MB, and 1024 MB of DDR400-RAM.

Well, it's the running on the Unreal Engine, there's quite a few people out there that have trouble running games based on the engine. Are you able to play other games running on the unreal engine?

Wow, that's awesome. Haven't played the demo yet, but I will try it out tommorow.
 
i hate celshaded games, the graphics irritate me
but i want to try it out in each genre before passing final judgement

Its the graphics that really make the game, unbelievably fun! And as it says when you exit the game "Its got so much style its criminal", very true. I will definatley buy this one.

I played the SPdemo and i love it. Very cool when you throw a knife at someones head. :eek:*slice* :x Bar Fight mode sounds like lots of fun, original too.:cheers:
 
I dont think ive seen a more stylish and fun 1st person game in years....
 
Odd... It doesnt work for me. Everything comes out... Yellow. The models are the only things I can see, but the entire level is yellow. Especually odd since all the unreal games work fine for me.

This Gamespy preview (dated Aug. 5th) says:

"A single-player demo should be available around the middle of August, with a multiplayer demo following a few weeks later."

Since that preview came out on Aug 5th and the SP demo game out on the 7th (not "around the middle of August") we could probably get the MP demo sometime sooner than a few weeks, hopefully.

What gfx card do you use?
I'd have to suggest updating your drivers.

Heh, thats cool, is there any word on what modes, do we get the barfight mode? :D
 
I just finished the demo. It's to easy to beat. But, other then that, I may just buy this game when it comes out. Can't wait to see how the multiplayer will be.
 
i love how the game is all played out, comic book style. Like in the corner when you get a head shot or something else. Its a great game and has huge pentential, but i dont think ill buy it. If the multiplayer is good then just maybe
 
Is it just me, or is there no way to save? I hate games with no save points. I don't wanna start the round over from the beginning. I hate crawling through that duct.
