I'm trying to extrude this cube along the curve but it wont let me.
(Check attachment to see what my results is)

And I have untoggled Extend Component Selection in the Select Menu.

Thanks for any help!
(BTW: I've tried 3Dsmax, Maya and Lightwave, and XSI is the most fun 3D app I've ever used! :D)

select object, click extrude along curve, select curve

then in the options panel that pops up, just refine the settings, sometimes it needs changing sometimes it doesn't

Also helps to have the curve in the right place, not always but often.

Hi mate!
I was hoping you would see this thread. :)

I tried changing everything, no luck.
Even tried to make a new curve and move it too.
The extrude is just shaped like the line, it doesn't go along it (like yours.)
I see you got "Per Knot" on. I tried that too no success.. here's another attachment though.

Oh and, this is a Linear Curve, yours seems to be a CV Nurb?
If I do a CV nurb it works perfectly fine, but the tutorial tells me to use linear curve.

*EDIT*
Here's the Tutorial

ok here ya go, works here. Included the settings so that should help.

One of the 3DBuzz videos does exactly this: extrudes along a curve then alters the number of sections in it etc. If you haven't watched them I suggest you give them a look, they should quite a few handy things.

Have you moved the first point in the curve by chance? Moving that will change the position of the extruded object. Select the object or full curve and move it back, wont if you've set it up right harm anything, should be fine then.

I found out how to fix it.
I had to go to the Modify Panel > Curve > Inverse.

This was a weird problem though. :)

Thanks for all the help
