Hi guys, whenever I start up XSI, it gets past the splash screen then displays XSI for like 5 seconds without really loading any menus or anything, then it just exits.

Just closes and quits. Any Idea of whats happening?

Video drivers need updating? I've never heard of this, but you could try.

Yeah I reinstalled, and Im pretty sure my drivers are up to date.

Hmm. Maybe update all your drivers, not just the video card. I haven't installed XSI in awhile, but maybe it gives you options on what kind of video preferences, something like DirectX or OpenGL or something. I'm not knowledgable in that area at all, but I would start fiddling with options, turning stuff off and on. If nothing works, email softimage. They are great with helping people. I bought the student edition and couldn't figure out how to get it to install. I emailed them and I had help every step of the way. They were also quick to respond.

this is when u get ur xsi cd and piss on it. proceed to stage 2 by laying it in the sun to give it a nice yellow color. who knows...the ants might even join in on the party...that is if ur piss tastes good. this is of no help at all. oh one thing is that if u have a pirated version...well something may have happened. who knows. things like this happen u know...ahem...COUGH COUGH (MICROSOFT). lol.
