I have an attached screen of something funny. I tagged a point and translated to X=0, but it doesnt appear to go there. Did the axes move? How do i move them back?

perhaps a better picture, and a better explination might get some others attention...

sorry, Im basically making a sword, and ive been doing a lot of vertex adding and such, and im basically trying to get a handle going.

Anyway, i was trying to get things symmetrical so i would use the number fields in the translate menu to get the points exactly where i wanted them, but its getting annoying. when i put 0 into the X field, it moves the point close to the x axis, but not ON it. Im pretty confused about that. the picture just shows how the point is at X=0, but not on the axis. Why is that?

I'm just guessing now but try the Global, Local settings while doing it. And even hold down the shift (Uni). Just try it and let me know if it worked

why not just model half of it then either use the duplicate symmetry option or polymesh/symmetrize polygons, match it up and weld points. Easier than doing it manually

While your working on it you can use an instanced copy of it, mirror'd and placed next to it so you can keep an eye on things looking right. Thats what I do anyways

well the center was a bit off i learned, also, moving it in global worked. Thanks to all for the suggestions!
