Just been to see it with a load of mates at the cinema and i must say that it was better then i expected, it is still just your typical action movie but it was reasonably good.

Heard it was a lot like the first, ie pure silliness. Its total hyperactive action with explosions and cool weapons abound, and makes you smile by simply pushing it so far that you have look at the person next to you and admit 'that was cool'.

I only saw the first XXX once in the theatre, and the only things that I can remember was the Rammstein concert at the opening, the snowmobile chase (forgive me, I'm Canadian :E ), and the fact that it took place in Prague (beautiful city) instead of the typical American setting.

There's something about the second one that doesn't feel quite right, judging from the previews. Maybe it's because I can only picture Ice Cube as a rapper and not an action hero; maybe it's because the villian (William DaFoe from the trailers) feels too much like the Green Goblin's Norman Osborne; maybe it's because of the generic plot of saving America because of political turmoil; maybe it's because the special effects look cheesy; or maybe I'm just over-reacting and the movie is great, but the trailers caused me to think otherwise.

I have a feeling that if Vin Diesel was in it, I would have more reason to see this movie. Too bad he demanded more money than he's worth.
