So they're more powerful than the G-man now (with numbers). What do you all think they are actaully doing? If they could stop time like the Gman, it seems like they could have done a bit more to help the resistance. Save various rebel soldiers, rescue Judith, etc. They took Gordon and Alyx from the top of the Citadel to the base of it, while they were most likely wherever the evacuees were headed. It couldn't be that hard then, to have pulled Judith and the rebels wherever she was out.

One other possibilty that explains them not using it more, is that they can only step in after the Gman has frozen time or whatever he does. Or the simple explanation that it is just very hard for them, and so can only be done when it is absolutely necessary.

I'm wondering what the gman will try now, sounded somewhat like he would have his revenge on Gordon, and I'm thinking he'll either send another pawn (zomg Shepard), or just grab Gordon when the vortiguants cannot protect him.

Bit off the topic of Vorts, but Judith, if I recall correctly looked like she was wearing a heavy jacket. Immediately that reminds me of Edcrabs MC2 fanfic, but I really don't think the Resistance could have gotten her somewhere cold. After all, it looks like either the summer or autumn in HL2. Either way, atleast she isn't wearing that hideous pullover anymore.

She's at an arctic base according to the video that you and Alex watch.

Nah, one of the commentary node things shows that the video event took place in a snowy/arctic type place.

And she is STILL wearing that damn pullover, you can see neck on it!

I don't think they can stop time, or Gman.

They didnt stop time, they just took Alyx out of the citadel and took you out of Gman's stasis in a very short period of time (like a split second)

I still think they were rebels in vortigaunt costumes :/

The didnt stop time, they slowed it down...And I don't think the G-Man was made at you because you didn't do anything, you were just as helpless as he was, they split you up.

But this does raise questions....

Was it the G-mans fault all of this happened, is he working for the combine? In Half Life 1 they were callard and helpless slaves, in Half Life 2 they were spred out and helping the rebels against the combine(who enslaved them in the first place). So were they stopping him? was Freeman an indirect pwn of the combine? or is the G-man in a grey area?

I dont think the Vorts are as powerful as the G-Man, not by a long shot. That many Vorts would seem to suggest it took a lot of their effort to do it, and the G-man can pull you out of statis without blinking

Did any of you notice that the G-man does not have his briefcase. Maybe thats what let him haul ass when he needs too.

I wonder why the Vortigaunts buried Alyx and Gordon in rubble after taking them from the top of the Citadel.

What I'm really looking forward to is that in Episode Two (judging by the awesome teaser) we will at last fight alongside the Vortigaunts. In various interviews with guys from Valve they made it seem like that was going to happen already in Episode One, but they just love to be cryptic :p
Vortigaunts big role in this episode was that they removed Gordon from stasis and prevented (?) Alyx from dying. I will love to kick Combine alongside the Vorts, yay for Vortigaunts as the thread title suggests :D

I remember reading somewhere that Judith had a secret base in a arctic location, that she used before coming to BM:E

Shepard would make the perfect boss battle. If you like him. . . well, there he is. If you hate him. . . well, you get to pwn him. He's a highly trained badass that could be backed up with some G-man uberweaponry.

Better than OpFor2

Oh ya. . . bring back the long-jump module! That thing was boss.

He also clenched his fists as he said
"We'll see, about that"
