And hence the honor of having an entire day named after him. Because a man who murders women and children based off skin color and ethnicity by sentencing them to a life of slave labor can't be all that bad. I hear a Hitler day is in the works, or perhaps an entire month. Get ready for Adolph August folks!

And give us a national holiday!
well yeah.. why do you think he raped and murdered baby children in the first place?

I'm off for "The teachers are in the lake district with the other half of the art group" day.

Rightly said, it's funny how many people don't know the truth about Columbus, not to mention he never even set foot on American soil...

Bah... you all are regurgitating what you learned in school. None of us lived when Columbus was alive so you don't know the truth.

Hmm, while I was in school I learned that Columbus was a saint, and he discovered America by himself without any help from anyone, and that he helped the primitive, native savages. Oh and he also was the only man on the face of the planet to say the earth was round. Of course, that's not what I believe now that I've done research beyond school to find out that just about everyone agrees Columbus has been glorified to a ridiculous level, and his true story is not so flattering at all.

Why doesn't America have Viking day? Vikings are cool, like pirates.

there are original sources, written by columbus himself and those around him that tell the story.

Sorry for being technical about it. The truth is that he never set foot on the East Coast, or anywhere on the 'mainland'....bastard. :p

Why do people always think that Adolf Hitler was spelled with a "ph"?
