yellow boxes

Can i turn of those yelow boxes that appears around a prop when I'm a bit away from them in hammer? They really disturbes me

me too i dont think you can though but im not sure.

I'm not sure if you can get rid of them completely but you can increase the distance at which they are drawn. In hammer click Tools> Options> 3d Views tab> then increase the model render distance slider bar. You can increase it to 10,000 which is pretty large. Be warned tho, those yellow boxes are there to improve your computers performance in hammer.

the low-poly versions of most models kick in at a certain distance in hammer as well as in the game, which helps performance too

I have to have them like that unless I am really close or else my computer simply rolls over and dies :S
