well most of us have heard that yellowstone is a GIANT volcano
but this thread is for the people that have not

yellowstone is a ticking time bomb
the yellostane cauldera is growing in size
when it erupts
every 1 on the planet earth will be effected
the smokeclouds and dust and ashwill spread across the world
blocking out the sun and dropping tempatures
zones of main effected areas:
zone 1 yellowstone:this area will be eradicated nothing will survive
zone 2 and 3 100 mile radius around yellowstone:this area will be hit by pyrocastic flows (dust and ash moving at 400+ mph and up to 800+farenhight in tempature)
zone 4 great plains and some western areas:15 inches of ash and dust will fall on these areas
zone 5 west coast to eastern great plains and lower texas: 5 inches of of ash and dust will fall on these areas
zone 6 east coast to 200 miles off of pacific ocean south eastern canada:
1 inch of ash and dust will fall on this area

this event will block out the sun causing crops to die and tempatures to drop
across the world

this is worst case scinearo

or this eruption could be another mount st. hellens


we don't know when it will blow but it could be soon
until then we will have to wait

We've been over this. It's very unlikely it will errupt within your lifetime or your children's children's lifetime. Who cares? And why care, since there's nothing we can do about it.

They made a series on it once i believe called Super Volcano, which i thought was pretty poor but you got the point. It would be a terrible shame to lose yellowstone, an area of superb natural beauty, and...loss of life globally etc

Yeah it was a poorly made series but I got the message, but like said, i doubt it will erupt for a VERY long time yet. But when it does, you dont really want be there ^^
