Does it have to be so clear-cut? D:

EDIT: Whoa, that pun was entirely unintentional

No. If it was there in the first place, why bother cutting it off?

I am all for it but I'm not castrated myself. It'd be interesting to see what percentage of guys are actually circumsized.

No way!

I think it's the family's decision. Personally, I'm pretty neutral on the subject- I'm circumcized, and I like it... but then, I've never tried it the other way.

EDIT: I almost said "I'm castrated" D:

Question for all you Yanks: why are so many of you circumcised while you're neither a jew nor a muslim?

Haven't had it done. But I'm all for it. It's peoples' own decision.

EDIT: That makes it sound like I want it. No. I like mine. :P

dunno. i'm circumsized, and i'm not religious. i don't mind either way really... like i said, who gives a damn?

but then the only person allowed to comment is gh0st because he's tried it both ways

If it tastes good in a fry-up, then what's to lose?

Don't really care. I'm not, but I heard it's more hygienic to be circumcised.

There is no reason it is more hygienic if you are circumcised. If you wash it on a daily basis, there is no difference. Plus, the foreskin prevents from irritation.

I would like to say I don't care, but as posted, babies don't really have the option to choose for themselves.

My mother and her current husband have tentative plans for another child (dear God no!), and they asked me if they should circumcise it--he says yes, she says no. I cast my vote for no, because I quite value my foreskin, and it's easier to get a circimcision later than to recreate the foreskin later...

Irritation isn't much as you get older, i'm sure most blokes can remember the time when checking out whats under the foreskin, and remembering everything being ridiculously sensitive, but it isn't anymore is it? It's the same thing.

Circumcision is much more hygienic indeed, washing each day doesn't make circumcision obsolete. Everytime you urinate or have sex, i think its unlikely you wash immediately afterwards. Both acts can make you unclean and cause the development of microbes, and behind the foreskin is an ideal spot for this due to conditions. So circumcision reduces the likelyhood of infection of genitals or perhaps the ureter.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, i personally don't believe in it, because of the barbaric way it's done, especially in jewish families. I've seen a rabbi do it with a very sharp knife and its not a nice experience to watch. eek

Well, what is the use of a prepuce if it makes you unclean? There is a reason why it's there and in my opinion it shouldn't be removed. Surely, being circumcised does not make much a difference, but I'm happy to still have mine.

Hahaha, blokes... so british.

This site was born by a Brit, half or more of the staff are British so we reserve the right to be!

Its there because its physical protection for our unclothed ancestors, since the invention of underwear your winkle has few worries, except a pair of sweaty twins nearby.

Oh shit, I just voted yes, I didn't know there was a question to go with it D:

It looks far better if it's done. An un-circumcized one looks weird.

Not that I stare at penises.
