Yorick wants George Lucas to die.

Really? Come on man, just let Indy die already before you guys **** it up even more with terrible CGI and aliens alright?

You guys no that you're allowed not to care right? I stopped paying attention once I heard how Indy 4 turned out.

This is funny because youre all most likely the majority that supports transformers 2. Then suddenly you guys see no problem with ragging on Indiana Jones 4. Well what happened to your guys argument that a movie doesnt have to have an awarding winning story or script to be great? I'm only saying this because personally I enjoyed Indiana Jones 4 more than Transformers. And basically these movies like you guys say are only meant to be pure escapism, nothing more. So I just want to ask the people that are fans of the Transformers movies, why do you guys criticize Indy 4 for being crap? Now I admit I'm abit of an Indy fan, but even I have mixed feelings about another Indy movie because of Harrison Ford's age. Still I would go see another Indy movie as much as you guys would go see another Transformer movie.

What about if we're the people that thought both Indy 4 was crap and that Transformers 2 will be even worse crap?

it doesnt, but that doesnt mean a great story should be replaced with a shitty story. anyways comparing a movie that's known for it's story with a movie known for being a michael bay explosion-extraveganza is just wrong. Indy movies are strong on plot and characterization, Transformers are strong on nausea inducing blurry visuals and laugh out loud bad acting, directing and all around hackery

I'm only saying this because personally I enjoyed Indiana Jones 4 more than Transformers.

that's like saying you like the siphilis better than aids

And basically these movies like you guys say are only meant to be pure escapism, nothing more.

and where does it say they should be badly written, directed, acted? because that triumverate of SUCK pretty much destroys any movie

So I just want to ask the people that are fans of the Transformers movies, why do you guys criticize Indy 4 for being crap?

because of the same reasons, plus since some are fanboys they dont see the suck in the transformers movies

Transformers fans? Here? I doubt it. Except Darkside. I didn't see Indiana Jones 4, and I won't - I will not waste my time with such an evident crock of shit. I won't be watching Transformers 2, either.

Haha! I swear his stubble has been drawn on.

On topic, yeah sucks.

Definitely will not be seeing this after the huge disappointment that was Indy 4.
Going to wait for it to come on TV one day.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

how ironic, i just watched that episode of south park with lucas and spielberg raping indy yesterday

also PoeticRocker transformers 2 is another travesty but at least its not ruining a beautiful series, that's the main difference.

Indiana Jones and the I Dunno, Man, I Quite Enjoyed Crystal Skull Despite Its Flaws And I Can't Find Anything Very Objectionable About Shia LaBeef Either And Let's Remember Spielburg Is A Very Good Director Even When He Has To Work With Lucas, So I Guess That Makes Me The Only Person In The Thread Who's Even A Little Optimistic About This.

Indiana Jones and the Once Upon A Time I Could Have Written That Post In Capital Letters And Let The Forum Handle It For Me But Now Capital Letters Are Allowed And I Have To Do It Manually! It Just Goes To Show You Have To Be Careful What You Wish For. Damn You, Forum!

GOD I JUST WANTED TO STRANGLE SHIA WHEN THIS TRAILER CAME OUT. SAW THE TRAILER EVERYTIME I SAW THE PREVIEWS THAT SUMMER AND I PRETTY MUCH HATED THE KID FROM THE GET GO. SOME OF HIS MOVIES ARE OK, BUT HE OVER AN OVERHYPED DOUCHBAG WITH THE SAME STUPID KID ROLE IN ALL HIS MOVIES

But Michael Cera is actually good at his kind of acting.

Indiana Jones and the let's **** up the best ****ing movie series ever like a retarded bunch of stupid ****s, again.

"They raped Indiana Jones." :'(

Meh, I liked 4. It wasn't an amazing film like its predecessors. But I would rather have more indy than no indy at all. =/

Doesn't anyone else feel that Temple of Doom was a bit shit anyway? In Star Wars Trilogy terms, it's the 'Ewok defence' for why the new films always had the potential to be utterly terrible.

Shia LaBinks

Temple of Doom is definitely the worst of the original Indy movies but it's still about 1000x times better than Indy 4. It's still Indiana Jones. Indy 4 was like some ****ed up parody.

I haven't seen Indiana Jones 4, but Temple of Doom was not just "a bit shit" - it was absolute trash, and hardly watchable. Which is a shame, because it was my favourite when I was young. Now it is just a distasteful turd. I think if I was to watch all 3, I'd go with watching Raiders twice. Or three times. No, twice. I like Crusade. But then again, Raiders has Toht. Maybe Raiders three times and Crusade once. Um. Ah.

This is my comparison with both TOD and KOTCS. I think the first hour of TOD is boring and nothing really exciting happens till they finally get to the caves underneath the palace. Now I think the case is different with KOTCS because I think the first hour of the movie is awesome, definitely on Indiana Jones epic adventure standards. However after the camp scene for me everything else becomes underwhelming because of how poorly executed everything was. The car chase was great, but it felt like a poormans Raiders truck chase. I didnt mind so much the silly things. What really annoyed me was the editing when they get to abator. Also there was no sense of really danger. These tribal men come throws frickin rock slings at them and they run off no problem. Then they go down the trapped stairs and just at the moment you think theyre gonna die, they land like 8 ft into the water. If you compare these traps to the ones in Last Crusade near the end, then youre guaranteed to be disappointed. Then the climax was like a poormans Raiders ending. I had no problem with the alien or the ufo at the end, since to me Angels are as much fiction as Aliens. The main point is that the original trilogy raised the bar and in order for KOTCS to succeed, it had to go beyond it. Though it didnt manage to, its still a good indy movie in my opinion. But I was still hoping it would be epic like Last Crusade. So in conclusion I think I would watch KOTCS more than TOD because KOTCS was non-stop action unlike TOD.
