I like sad and melodic apegiating on a chorus guitar, something not present in alot of music today.

I also like meaty, distorted yet melodic grunge guitar solos 'ala Yellow Ledbetter by pearl jam.

I find guitar solos in metal to be extremely cheezy, and I really really hate the amelodic, muted hits found in modern rock today.

Jazz guitar is also very pleasant to listen to, as is simple strumming on an acoustic guitar.

Fast and eratic like Omar from At the Drive-In, but thats only when playing At the Drive-In songs.

Other than, I dab about playing minamilist stuff like Mogwai and Explosions in the Sky, so its simple strumming and plucking with alot of effects.
