No hands in D3? What about here or here ?
I think all games have had hands on their guns, even when they are going for immersion, for 4 reasons:
1. The hand is pretty much a part of the weapon and sometimes a weapon on its own.
2. Since 99% of the time in most FPS's the player is holding a weapon, the hands do not become out of place.
3. Pretty much all games do it like a tradition and all gamers are used to it.
4. Immersion is not a set-in-stone law on what you can and cannot do. Developers do whatever they feel is the best for their game.
