You guys read this preview right?

I hope they don't count the new vids (binks - which are new, because there is NEW footage there) as media, because that means they have once again broken their promise of (no new screenies, movies, etc).

:bonce:

It was written August 02, 2004, so we knew about it August 1.

Yet some people are still wondering if you could still pickup stuff with your hands :p

I'm not complaining, I'm just hoping it's not secretely being pushed back.. we've got new media and the pre-load hasn't happen, that's what I'm worried about.

I'm still hoping for a <Sep 30th release.

That footage was recorded back during E3. We've been over this. it is OLD footage, with parts we haven't seen before. They just released it in it's entirety rather then the part they had for E3.

You can't forget the popular age group of people on the board. People get excited. Read only what they want to read. And it's not like Valve is always real "clear" on what their saying, if you get what I mean. Whats new and whats old is hard to determine now. Is it e3? or not? Or was it supposed to be at e3? or no? Any new media that comes out now won't be looked at by myself. I'm in lockdown mode. No new info til HL2 ships.

That's strange, I'm older than you (if that was aimed at me, which is looked like). Just hold off from those kinds of comments from now on little one :frog:

Ummm, it was aimed to anyone who read it. Not you. I didn't even know you were a part of this thread. I don't read usernames, only replies. Guilty conscience?

Well you can see why one might think so. I state something without names, and you think I'm talking about you. lol. No harm done. We're all here to bow for HL2.

It was in a magazine not to long ago, PC GAMER i think, i could be wrong, as a matter of fact i could be TERRIBLY WRONG! SHIT!

It's been on IGN for a good while now, so in that respect, no it isn't new.

What I like is:

Doug also stated that there wouldn't be any more screenshots, demos or additional media for two reasons. The first one is that the game is close to submission, so the developers wanted to focus on polishing the gameplay and squashing bugs. The other is that Valve wanted to ensure that players discovered the story and action of Half-Life 2 without having the experience spoiled by constant media coverage of gameplay and plot points.

He forgot to mention "stolen" code and information in pre-loads..... :)

Unfortunately, I didn't seem to have the right credentials, because not only did the force field refuse to let me through.

NO!!!

AKA. INVISIBLE WALLS :'(

Um... no... it was a highly visible force field, which sounds as though it may be turned off later, if you figure out how to get past the security systems or something...
