So, I'm faced with a dilemma about letting my pre-K 6 year old nephew play GTAIV. He won't shut up about the GTA series. All he talks about is GTA this and GTA that, and although I know I shouldn't be letting him play GTA at his age, (that's like letting a little kid smoke cigarettes to some people) there's nothing I can do about it. His two step brothers have a 360 and he apparently watches them play. Plus, not only does his mother OK violent games (I have a feeling it's just to keep him out of her hair, but whatever), he plays the series on the PS2, so my plan to keep him away from violent games at an early age has failed. I do know the consequences for letting him play something so violent with his little underdeveloped mind and social skills, but when I'm the only one in the family against it, I'm fighting a losing battle. Well except for my oldest sister and husband, who won't even allow their twin daughters near anything remotely violent.
Am I bad person for not wanting my young nephew to play violent games like GTA? Better yet, am I a bad person for not wanting him to play just so I can play instead? how can I get him off so I can play without looking like a jerk? :> (He's only around for about two days of the week, but whatever).
P.S.> He's right next to me right now playing GTAIV as of this thread.
