Given that it's nearly November, it's time for me to start planning what I'll be getting with my uber-Christmas this year. This year brings a new gaming PC (something I haven't had access to in years) and thus a lot of new, shiny looking games. Off the top of my head, this is what I'm thinking of getting:

Dragon Age: Origins
Left 4 Dead 2 (yes, yes, I know ... but I didn't play the first one, so this seems like a good time to get into it)
Borderlands
Mass Effect 2 (pre-ordered, should arrive by the time I'm done with everything else)

What are you buying round this Xmas time?

Maybe some of the following:
Just Cause 2(if it's released by Christmas)
GTA 4
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
Crysis Maximum Edition

Nothing in particular I want. I usually buy the games I want for myself on release day.

Honestly the thought hasn't crossed my mind. Christmas becomes more and more unimportant as you get older which is an entirely depressing thought.

yeah that is true :( I'm going to buy most things on release and leave the ones I can wait for till xmas

games to buy:
MW2 hardened edition
L4D2 (already paid for)
AC2 black edition

xmas presents:
LBP PSP
AC PSP

No game is coming out worthy of asking for, for Christmas.

Last year I asked for my first game for Christmas, which I had previously never done (Fallout 3)

^This.

I'm getting Dragon Age on release day, and I'm not going to buy other games at Xmas time.

-computer[not likely]
-money

Wow, and to think I used to want toys.

Dragon's Age and Uncharted 2 most likely.

StarCraft 2 beta! StarCraft 2 beta! StarCraft 2 beta! (hopefully I don't have to wait for Christmas before the beta starts)

And a new computer that will be able to run it.

Getting Brutal Legend for my birthday next month, then I want Assassin's Creed II for Christmas. Purchasing L4D2 myself and the other couple of games on my horizon I'm going to wait a little for to see what general consensus is a few months down the line.

Probably just going to be sent some cash(usually $100) by my grandmother and assorted cards from everyone else.

I've already got a ton of Christmas cards ready to be sent out myself.

I'm planning on buying Dragon Age: Origins for the PC and Star Trek on Bluray

I don't really need anything but to be glad everyone is happy and healthy in my family and my friends are up on their feet economically

This.

From around the tender age of 15 onward, I slowed way down on thinking about what I wanted for Christmas. My dad drilled into me that it was more important to give, than to receive. Not to say I didn't like to get goodies under the tree, just it wasn't as important. My parents ask me every year what I want & I always say nothing. Just spoil my daughter.

However, I think I will splurge & buy myself an X-Fi Go!, as my Audigy 2 ZS is on it's last leg.

Too bad I am poor, as I can't give nearly as much as I would like.

my problem is that i buy and collect a lot of games but other than that I tend to still give gifts and try not to overspend. there are things i will always want to have but right now i have all that i need and then some

Making a Christmas list would be extremely rude this late into my life.

my favorite Holiday is Thanksgiving. kickass food, no presents, no headaches, no stupid fuking music, and best of all plenty of beer and football and fun things to do. on christmas you gotta pack up your gifts into a car with a plate of cookies and trek through the snow to someones house and theres disappointed kids complaining about their gifts and screaming and stupid stuff.

*grumble* why is that an american only holiday again?

Don't have a list. I buy games when I want, I get w/e random stuff people give me on x-mas.

My defence is that I'm 22 and a final-year student in uni. This Christmas might be the last chance I get to indulge myself in some hardcore gaming.
