1) List your favorite games of all time and the system they were played on, in any order!
*Note, these are not necessarily games you would want to play today, just games that were huge for you at the time.
2) You can list as many as you want.
3) You can post again later to add more as you remember them.
4) I expect alot of people to post so If you REALLY want to add a comment, try to keep it short like this:

What I was hoping to achieve by this thread is that a developer would see our lists and say to themselves:
1) "What made this game so great, how can we duplicate this"
2) "Hey I loved that game too, let's finally make a sequel"

Here are some more of my favorites:

Well maybe Valve can create Dungeon Master2005 or Archon2005. I'm begging you!

But I keep forgeting to add to my all time favorites:

NO! VALVe don't! Get your ass working on Half-life 3!

Mines are:

Doom - as far as I remember, it was the first game I've ever played. I was like 7 or 8 years old and was already addicted to that game. I still remember one day when I completed the whole game in one afternoon, when i left the computer my eyes were completely red. definately, one of the greatest games ever.

Prince of Persia 1 - damn! that was a hard game! i would lost hours and hours trying to get the trick of the levels or replaying the same level hundreds of times. one of the greatest too.

Simcity 2000 - the addiction in form of game. i would spent hours building a city, trying to make it bigger and bigger. great game

F1 Gran Prix 1 - hard game too. the state of art in graphics and racing realism of that time. very good game

Lotus 3 - great arcade racing game. some of the most original tracks i've ever seen. is there a recent racing game where you can slip your car in bull crap or have a hard time trying to control the car because of strong wind?

Mortal Kombat 3 for PC - hours and hours of pure fun playing with my cousin. fatalaties were simply hilarious

Worms - if addiction was a game, then that game would be Worms. do i need to say more?

Quake 2 - for me one of the best iD games ever, quake 1 never really pushed my attention.

Command & Conquer - Best. RTS. Ever.

That's all the old games I could remember.
