Runners Up

Half Life 2: Getting the SGG. Like a kid on Xmas.

Jedi Outcast: Reconnecting to the force/retrieving your lightsaber. Another one that really opens the game right up.

Mario 64: The first half hour I spent just running around the palace garden, flipping Mario around to all of his accompanying "Hoo's" and "Ha Ha's!" :E

There are so many more flying around inside my skull, but I'll see if anyone gets them first. (Or reminds me of any I've forgotten).

Seconded. Nothing i've experienced in gaming before or since has matched the awe of turning on my new N64 and playing Mario 64. Just when you think it can't get any better you jump into a painting - and the rest is history

Playing on a full darkness level (it was one where there were no lights - just the light at the side of the gun to give people away and a quad damage for those unlucky to stumble on it!) - Turning around to see a guy right over my head - BANG! Lots of laughing ensued!

Beetle Crazy Cup - Split screen and great fun!

Age of Empires: Hearing my friends computer while his base was being invaded - LOADS of priests (and they make an amusing sound) and this was added to by his exclamations!!!

-----I remember far more LAN moments than SP----

June last year, BF2 demo. Moving towards the River flag on Oman with a full HL2.net squad. Being pinned down, jets roaring overhead, squadmates talking on VOIP. Blow up the defending tank, a flanking maneuver to the left, and then taking the flag. Multiplayer bliss.

This is something that happened to me in Oblivion the day I got it that really made me fall in love with it.

I went to Kvatch, and decided that since there didn't seem to be any guards around, I'd kill and loot everyone there. This went well, but a girl put a slow-spell on me and ran away. I chased after her, and eventually ran into about five guards. I expected immediatly to get arrested, but they ended up killing HER for attacking me.

Then I got arrested for looting her corpse

Also, on the same subject of Oblivion, the "end of the world" quest. Eff yeah.

Emerging from Ravenholm to the morning sunlight whilst that ****ing awesome music played. Great scene.

Reaching the top of the Dark energy reactor.
