Half-Life
Half-Life: Opposing Force
Half-Life: Blue Shift
Half-Life: Decay (ps2)
Half-Life 2
Third Party Mod

What do you have the fondest memories of?

Ethier half life when you get to have that big gargantua roast:D or half life 2 just because of the G-man speeches. G-man rulzzzzzzzzzz!

I loved "forget about freeman" in HL1, just cuz things just seemed to go so crazy in that chapter it always stuck with me....i also loved the section in Opposing force where u sneak into the room wehre the black ops are storing the big missile/nuke and u gotta then use the medic to heal the engineer to open the sealed door.....that part i used to play all the time too, just cuz listening to the black ops footsteps really freaked me out cuz they were so fast. and with HL2, i could just walk around city 17 all day in the intro where u dont even have ur HEV suit, i just love the entire enviroment, cant get enough of it....but i also loved Anticitizen One for dog, i love dog.

The first time I saw Xen in Half Life. I had no idea it was coming, which made it a lot better.

Half-life 2. It was simply an amazing experience from start to finish. I can't recall any game I've had as much fun with.

My favourite HLs are hL1 and HL OP4
I really loved Xen and RACEx

when you had to storm the barricade or w/e in city 17, i dont remember exactly where is it, but the combine are beind a wall and there running out of a building and i shot a guy with a xbow and he got stuck to the wall upside down , it was great

Half-life Decay, for the added fun value of 2 player storyline and the bonus Vortigaunt level.

Half Life original....nothing better than popping Barney or the scientists at the back of the head "for the hell of it" like when they get in the way :D

That's why we are all here, right? ;)

Half-Life 1. Going to work, and going home; all guns blazing.

Playing through HL, and hearing the military yell to Forget about Freeman, we are abandoning the base.

Then you play Op4, and you hear that. It was great.

Blue shift. It was the second computer game I have ever played after I dumped the c64. My first FPS experience or a pc game experience ever was Aliens vs Predator, which was love at first sight, then I bought Blue shift, which wasn't so scary and it was nice for a change. I think the atmosphere is really engaging and immersive in both aforementioned games. :)

The train bridge in HL2. When you go across the bridge to deactivate the force field and the music kicks in... beautiful :)

most dramatic part: in HL2 when you get into the room with the ombine fighting the resistance, wheen you kill them, someone shouts "<some bozo> has been shot" and the music starts playing.... god that was beautiful.

That Bozo's name is Winston IIRC...

Yea that was one of the best from HL2 for sure.

From HL1 series I think my favourite moment is in Blue Shift, when your in the elevator with the other two scientists and all hell breaks loose... :E

Half-Life:

  • The whole train ride in the beginning of the game

  • When you send the rocket into orbit in the "On a Rail"-chapter

  • Getting chased by the Gargantua in "Surface Tension" at the parking lot is something memorable

  • When you encounter Gonarch for the first time in "Gonarch's Lair", the music fits perfectly

Half-Life: Opposing Force:

  • The whole intro-sequence

  • When you see Gordon jumping through the portal in the "We Are Not Alone"-chapter

  • Going through the sewers...

  • Fighting all the Black Ops and Race-X aliens near the end of the game, also one of the hardest area

Half-Life: Blue Shift:

  • Train ride intro-sequence

  • The falling elevator when the Xen invasion begins

  • Helping the two scientist's and Dr. Rosenberg through the teleporter at the end of the game

Half-Life 2:
Ohh, so many... but here are a "few" of my favourite parts

  • Arriving at the train station

  • Fleeing from the Metrocops on the rooftops

  • When you arrive at Kleiner's lab and the teleportermalfunction

  • When you fight the Zombies for the first time in "Route Kanal" just before you get the Airboat. The music fits so perfectly...

  • In "Water Hazard" when you arrive at this Red-Barn (also a G-Man sighting), I really love the atmosphere here... so quiet...

  • Fighting the Combine Helicopter at the end of "Water Hazard"

  • When you arrive at "Black Mesa East"

  • Playing fetch with Dog

  • Directly at the start of "We don't go to Ravenholm...", the music... AHH!

  • Coming out from the mines and the music kicks in... easily my favourite part of the game... no, my favourite part in any game ever.

  • The bridge-section in "Highway 17", especially when you're halfway through and a train starts to shake the whole bridge

  • The Zombie-infested tunnel directly after the bridge-section. The music here really freaks me out!

  • Fighting the Combines at the lighthouse

  • The big fight on the beach with all the Combines and Antlions

  • Getting pinned down by two Combine Gunship’s near the start of "Nova Prospekt"

  • I'll just say it... The whole freaking experience of the "Nova Prospekt"-chapter. Easily the best chapter in the game if you ask me

  • In "Entanglement" when Alyx talks to Eli when he's in the pod

  • Fighting with Alyx at the teleporter just before you arrive at Kleiner’s lab

  • At the start of "Anticitizen One" when Dog fights the Combine APC

  • The pod-sequences in "Our Benefactors", so unbelievable cool

  • The sequence when you arrive at Breen's office in "Dark Energy"

To sum it up, Half-Life 2 was an unforgettable experience right from start to the end.
Bring on Aftermath...

Half-Life was my favorite, CLOSELY followed by HL2, then Op4 and Blue Shift

I loved "Highway 17", just for the fact that I could just spend hours repainting the buggy green with antlions blood.....

And Smod..... I never knew whacking the **** out of a Zombie with a shovel or drop kicking the shit out of a Combine could be so fun........

In The Blackmesa timeline(HL1,OP4 etc) had to be Blast-Chamber. That damn blind 3 Headed Worm. The noise it made pounding off the edge of the metal. Man the haunted my dreams for awhile afterwards.

In HL2 has to be either the Chase on the Hover-Boat and the following battle with the Hunter-Chopper or fighting all the Striders in the square outside the Central building towards the end of the game.

in my previous post i just mentioned parts of the hl series that i wont forget. but if i had to pick one game ide pick counter-strike cuz i have met a lot of people in the 7 years i have been playing it, i will always remember a lot of different things about that game.

Hl1 : watching through a window as a security guard tries to fight off a zombie and is dragged into a vent.

hl2 : downing the first gunship, it was the typical action movie "haha i did it" then the "oh shit" realisation as the ship came carreening down straight towards me and having to run out of the way as it plowed into the cars and came to rest. i wish they blew up less...

I love the music in hl2. I've burned all the soundtracks on cds, in fact. :)

I could not agree more.

Ma fav is "surface tension(intro of grunts)" in hl1

On highway 17 when you come across the cars clogging up the road and then the sound of a gunship echoes behind.

Imagine my suprise after shooting it and expecting it to explode when instead it crashed onto the highway sending cars and roadsigns everywhere.

the AVP games scared the piss out of me like no other, when playing the marine and having those fast little bastards zooming at you from all angles, in halls where it was pitch black and sirens were going.

i'm stuck here

Yeah, you should be able to get past them through a hole in a wall to your left. Well, maybe not exactly a hole, just a torn down wall.
