oh god there were a lot of good ones... and i can't remember a one.

super star wars was the shit, though. and zelda, and mario, and so many others.

Crono Trigger and Zelda Link To The Past

Street Fighter 2

- Me and my dad used to play this all the time. I was always Ryu and he was always Guile.

Bubsy

-My friend from elementary school used to play this all the time. I enjoyed it too. I think you had to collect little yarn balls or something.

Killer Instinct

-I remember first seeing this at my local arcade and being in awe. When it came out on the SNES I was so excited. It was a black cartridge if anyone remembers. I played as Cinder and Fulgor. I was only able to do Cinder's Ultra combo. This was when Rare was at the top of their game. How the mighty have fallen.

Mario All Stars

-A collection of superb Mario games. You couldn't go wrong with this one. I think Super Mario 2 was the oddest one out of the series. Still fun though.

Super PunchOut

-If you're a fan of the first one, you'd have to get this one. That Chinese old guy with the cane was freakin tough. My brother was the only one who was able to get to the Bruiser Brothers. I liked beating up on that pretty boy from the UK.

Super Smash TV

-An all around fun game to play with another person. Me and my bro had some fun times with this one. "I'd buy that for a dollar!"

NBA Jam

-Another awesome game. I played this one to death. BOOM SHAK-A-LAKA! Remember that? I liked when the ball would catch on fire.

Donkey Kong Country

-This is probably one of my favorite games of all time. I remember being wowed by its graphics when it came out. The levels were unique and extremely fun. A Rare classic. I'd like to see a new one made in 3D but still a side scroller.

Donkey Kong Country 2

-I remember getting this one for Christmas. Not quite as good as the first but still one hell of an amazing game. It was a little more challanging too. Beautiful game to look at.

Super Castlevania IV

-When I was little, I was really into vampires. This game was a natural buy for me. I had been playing the series since the NES. It had good graphics, gameplay, and music. The boss fights were pretty cool as well. The last boss fight with Dracula was so cool. I must have played that last part 100 times or more.

Thats all I could think of.

Great thread. It brings back a lot of memories. I remember being off from school during summer and gaming all day. Hell of a time.

Super Mario World
Super Mario RPG
Donkey Kong Country, DKC 2: Diddy Kong's Quest
Mortal Kombat II
Street Fighter Turbo

Chrono Trigger
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Zelda
Secret of Mana
Super Mario World

Seems like Chrono trigger seems to be a favorite. Anyone have the actual cartridge? I do =). They're not easy to come by anymore.

ooooo it's so hard to choose just one but......arrrgh I can't do it.

It's a tie between FF3(US) and Chrono Trigger. I remember I rented Chrono Trigger on a weekend when I was like 11 and played it until I beat it, no sleep.

Good Times

Zelda and Mario world.
Chrono and Street fighter 2 were good too.
I'd say this was the best console (cause the games it had) ever made.
Too many games to mention.

Zelda 3
Super Mario RPG
Star Fox
Donkey Kong Country
Mortal Kombat 2
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Metroid

There's probably more that I'm forgetting, but these are some of my favorites. It's too bad I went and sold my SNES years ago, but then I discovered Emulators/Roms, and it doesn't matter anymore. :p

Never owned a SNES. Only Sega Genesis.

Favorite game...ummm...gotta be Vectorman. That game r0xx0red.

Super Mario Kart
Super Mario World
Super Mario All-Stars
Rock and Roll Racing

Secret of Mana :) Perfect in every way.

Chrono Trigger was great, but lacked the comradery that 3 player SoM offered.

FF6 is in close second :) (SquareSoft used to be so good)

In order:

Favorite SNES games:
Street Fighter II, SFIITurbo, and SuperSFII (or whatever it was called - with DJ, cammy, fei long introduced
Mortal Kombat II
Sim City
Games Exclusive to SNES:
F-Zero
Super Mario World
FFIII
Zelda

Final Fantasy 3/6(JPN)
Chrono Trigger
Donkey Kong Country
Super Mario
Super Metroid
Mario Kart
Musashi: The legend of Mystical Ninja - at least that what I think it's called
and contra

Top 3: Final Fantasy 3, Chrono Trigger, and Super Metroid. I have the original cartridges, booklets, AND boxes for all of them...SNES was just the pinnacle of videogames without a doubt.

Other games I loved for SNES:
Earthbound
Donkey Kong Country
Zelda
Stunt Race FX
Super Mario RPG

So many good games to choose from. Probably the ultimate system in terms of games selection IMO. I love all the games other people have already mentioned so let me offer some others that are perhaps not as well-known but just as fun:

Actraiser (Amazing combo of Action+Strategy)
Cybernator (Crazy Mech Action)
Lost Vikings (Unique Co-op Action)
King Arthur's World (Very interesting 2D Strategy)
S.O.S. (Almost Survival Horror without the Horror)
Super Tennis (Still the best Tennis game I've ever played)

and of course.....

Pilotwings
F-Zero
Gradius 3

(Hey Warbs, you ever play Secret of Evermore? It's a lot like Mana.)

I can't believe no one mentioned Kirby Superstar. Seriously fun game  .

Probally Chrono Trigger- Playing it through for the first time now :)

Moi ;) Still have my SNES. Mario Allstars a good collection. Also liked Donkey Kong 3 (i think) the one with Dixie and her fat baby cousin.

There are so many games, but I guess I'll have to say Zelda III.
But seriously, there are so many good games to that console. Most are probably mentioned already.
