Your favorite way to "chill" on a lazy afternoon

So you've got the day off, What do you like to do, no commitments or plans, no housework, just while away the day doing what you want to do.
 
abit of FarCry, abit of hl2.net, maybe read a book, the paper or a magazine. Might go for a cycle ride if i can be bothered, but mostly FarCry. lol
 
Just sit out side on my front porch (if its warm) and just look at the beauty of the world....It ain't called Alabama the beautiful for nothin. ;)
 
Assuming someone else is looking after the kids and my wife is out, I'd stick some good music on and grab a nice, long book. Perfect.
 
I'm assuming this is a solo thing?

I honestly don't know...I've never had that.

Yes its a solo thing. Everyone needs time on their own to just relax.

I guess I'd probably go for a walk, or read a book, or do some painting, maybe watch LotR's for the millionth time, nothing gets rid of a day like watching the trilogy lol.
 
I love going out on a nice looong walk in the beautiful hills and woods around here, where I live it's basically out in the forest but with a bunch of houses and roads, very nice indeed. :)

Music also helps alot, something that helps me relaxing and also helps to improve visualisation and concentration is to listen to very soothing music and create your own dreamscapes inside your head, and explore them. www.bluemars.org has some nice ambient radiostations, check them out if that's your cup of tea. :)

Long walks on the beach...I used to do that when I lived near one
 
I read a good book, browse the internet a little, might do a bit of drawing.. if it's nice I go for walks

Besides that, getting my system ready for Half-Life 2, or BS with friends on the web. That is, until, I goto work.

I eat cookies in my free time. Lots and lots of cookies.

...and milk too. You would be amazed at how nice that is. Of course, they need to be millies cookies because they taste just...so nice, and suit milk perfectly. I haven't tried them all yet, but so far the average milk chcolate chip is best.
 
If I got time just for myself, no commitments what so ever, I'll go buy myself a six-pack of beer and a bag of potato-chips, flip on the TV and find myself a nice DVD to watch. Later on I'll just chill out infront of the computer playing Counterstrike Source, and browsing these forums.

Well I like to hang about with my housemates, maybe watch a film, if it's a nice day go and find a field and sit and 'chill' ;) there with company.
If I'm on my own, then I'd quite possibly get down to some writing - I'm doing creative writing at uni - try and add a bit to a novel, or find a new short story idea from somewhere.

At night... go out with friends, find some luvly ladies, and have some fun.

Or... as all my housemates have been out all week... debate on Hl2.net :cool:
 
Ill either go on my computer and chat to my friends online or play games. If no-ones on then I might watch a film or go to sleep :rolling:

Heh, I live near the cliff tops so I wander down there sometimes, weather permitting, it's real nice :p

Whether it be sitting outside with the neighbors or in the house listening to music or playing on the computer. my computer setup is especially nice due to wireless keyboard and mouse I can just lay on the couch and surf or kill terrorists.

Going to the beach is always great, but that's not a lazy afternoon, that's actually doing something. Lazy afternoon = Slack, lots and lots of Slack. A pipe full of frop and a head full of dreams my boy.
 
Hmm... sometimes when I feel like it I take my camera with me and go outside and take a few pictures of the neighbourhood. Mostly I just put some trance on and take a magazine that I haven't read yet or a book and lie down on my bed and read it. Also sometimes I just turn on the tv and kinda exist in a half dream type state.
 
i like running night ops missions, for my own benifit and for the benefit of people who um...need benifits. for those of you who dont know what night ops are, head over to the forums at totse.com

its a great way to exersize. some people like to do bad things like steal from people who dont deserve to be stolen from, me i go strictly with a nice set of morals.

thats what i like to do on a night i dont work.
usually my long afternoons are spent on hl2.net, or totse.com, or running recon missions for my night ops.

edit: oh yea.. i cant forget about spending time with my girlfriend! only happens once in a while tho :(
 
eat, sleep, games, chat maybe

edit: oh and at nights, when i just feel like walking, i go out really late at night (2, 3 am) to take a walk... it's incredibly quiet and peaceful.

If I'm bored, I'll go annoy my friends :)

im bored too, although i have to go to work in 3 hours...5pm-12pm, maybe i can go on a nightop and raid this abandoned house across the street.
