Nine Inch Nails -- Leaving Hope
The finest moment off of NIN's suprisingly mellow, piano-led mini-album "Still". Possibly the greatest piece of musicianship I've ever listened to, period. Words simply don't describe how much of an impact this song makes on the first listen. This is the only song I have listened to that I never tire of. Ever.
Slayer -- Disciple
Thrash metal at it's best, off of Slayer's classic "God Hates Us All" album. Combining some of the greatest metal riffs with the infectious repeated chorus of "God hates us all!!", this is what thrash metal is all about: blood-curdling, skull-crushing metal. Forget that whole Linkin Bizkit movement, this is the real thing.
Eminem -- Kim
Now, this is the side of Eminem a lot of people don't see. This is the most intense hip-hop song I have ever listened to - it's actually hard to sit through. And it's not just Eminem spouting off curse words and what you'd normally expect - this is Marshall Mathers violently abusing and killing his wife, in an unbeleivably convincing way.
