hl1- female assassins, they always kept me on edge.
hl2- I'm a strider fan.

Annoying as they were, I always enjoyed trying to outwit the female assassins.

Impact grenades always did the trick because I knew were they would end up (On the same AI node)

As for creature, it hasn't been revealed how many will be returning, so for the time being:

HL1: Garg (With a well placed air-strike)
HL2: Strider (Always imagined a fight between the garg and the strider)

Strider, because I haven't seen an enemy like that in another game. But I think HL2 offers a few more of those very unique/cool enemies.

HL1 : By far the headcrab, only thing that actually ever scared me. ( Dam those dark air vents)

HL2 : too me its got to be the strider, but the "Prowler" looks interesting, might show some good AI.

Worst : Itchyosaur

I like the zombies, they are so slow and stupid and fun to play around with. For HL 2, I don't know yet

Its a toss up between the roaches (they make a nice crunchy sound) and the striders (they also make a nice crunchy sound).

I liked the vortigaunts best, but the marines were an almost tie.

I think I'm going to like fighting the combine troops themselves in HL2. I also really like the antlions.

The houndeyes were the best in HL1. I liked the sound they made.

I couldn't bear to kill those houndeyes.. I remember the first time I saw one I was like.. awww so cute... I let him come right up to me. I was like.. what's that odd noise.. then i lost almost all my health
After that i shot em right in the eye.. i still feel bad though.

HL2 I can't wait to fight the striders but just about everything in the game seems to have amazing AI. I'm gonna play on the hardest setting first off just to see it in action. Even if i do get my butt kicked straight away.
