What are your goals and aspirations in life. Don't be shy now. If you want a penis implant on your ear put it out there. Personally I want to be a dinosaur, I want to be 6% body fat, I want to write a song, I want to write a book, I want to graduate college, I want to marry a beautiful and intelligent girl, and I want to be remembered. What do you want?
 
I want to sleep. But tomorrow is my only day off for the next week and I don't want to waste it by sleeping.

Pretty much why I created this thread. i wasted the shit out of today by doing nothing and i figured if I put some goals out there it will inspire me. I always feel terrible if I waste the day. BTW internets and computers don't help at all.
 
I want to become a successful and decently paid game programmer and enjoy it all the while.

I want to avoid getting stabbed, shot, or hit by a car to death!
 
What about getting stabbed, shot and hit by a car into a coma?
 
I'm looking to buy a house (finally!) after years of saving/planning. Once that is settled and if I can somehow afford it I'd like to go back to school. Unfortunately I am the master of apathy and I will probably postpone it indefinitely.
 
I want to pay off my debt, get a better car, have babies with beautiful women and feel great about work. hell maybe i'll just donate my sperm

Find a stunningly intelligent girl and go live somewhere in the woods in a house I build, with only an internet connection :) In terms of a career, probably web development (or if I can ever figure out how to be a good writer) but maybe game development someday...
 
Seriously though I wanna get a good job, a nice house, and have a good life with this girl even though none of that will probably happen. It's good to dream.
 
My life-long goal and career will be to become a public school band director and do what I can to help change peoples' lives for the better.
 
I started cooking for myself today! And not cheapass-college-student microwave "cooking" either - I've got some Afghan rice cooking in the rice cooker, and some vegetable stir-fry on the way. It smells like the best meal I'm going to have had in a long time.
 
I want to be awesome at the guitar, learn new instruments (bass, and synth maybe), have a nice house, a job where i get to solve interesting programming problems all day, a cute and smart girl to love. Also kids, cars, the works. :D

As for the kind of person I want to be: well read, respected and kind.
 
Right now all I want is to be payed enough money for gigging so a can leave uni and go full time with it.

Long term? I want to be massive in the music industry, release many hugely successful albums, headline all the major venues of the world, and always be remembered. I also want to start a large family with a truely fantastic girl.

Im ambitious I know xD
 
Graduate, eventually do a PhD and settle down somewhere with my girlfriend for my post-doc and continuing in academia with research.
Sometime down the line a kid or two.
 
Graduate high school with both my diploma and my AA, (already 27/60 credits there, will have 34 by the end of this school year.) This way I will enter college as a Junior at age 18.

Go to a University to get my Bachelors. Then either get my Master's directly after that, or talk with an employer to see if they will pay for it.

For a career I would like to work with a division of the Army called Operational Test Command that tests new equipment, weapons, technology, and vehicles.

Find me a beautiful, intelligent girl and make beautiful babies.

Make money/win lottery.

Form a worldwide resistance movement and eventually become leader of a one government world.

F*ck yeah, my dad has a friend who pretty much did this, and he invites us over for shooting and fishing sometimes, guy is super cool, seems pretty damn content.
 
I'm personally aiming to put on a bit of weight. I'm like a ****ing stick.
 
I want to pay off my debt, move to Seattle, work at valve, then eventually move back home and start up my own game studio.
 
I want a job I hate, a woman I cannot stand and two kids who get into trouble, topped off with tons of debt.

Yeah, I know a few people (friends of my parents, or my friend's parents) who have done this, it seems like the right idea. My dad's old roommate from college and his wife live on a farm in Maine... they grow their own food and everything, with a dairy and bakery in their barn. We ate pasta made from scratch, salad they grew, tomato sauce they made, bread they baked, cheese they rolled, etc. I was pretty much decided from there.
 
Awwww, Pi is saying that KA should give up searching now because he no longer has to look now that Pi is here.

Nope, totally delicious in fact. I was also struck by how happy and healthy both of them seemed. They were highly active since they had to do a lot of work preparing and growing food, but both of them seemed totally content.
 
I guess if growing food is fun for you then its an alright lifestyle. I wouldn't be able to stand having to work all day doing that and having no time for fun stuff.
 
In order :

1) To rule the world.
2) Have my minions create mutants.
3) rule the now mutated populace of said world.

Get married, and stay married.
 
Move out in 4 months (summer) and take a year off school to save as much money as possible.
 
Good luck with that, living on your own is expensive as balls. You'd save a whole lot more just staying home and working.
