Your goals

$750 (with utilites) a month, cell phone bill is $30 a month, internet/cable is $60 a month, split between 3 people who make a minimum of $750 a month. Only one of us has a car, which he just payed his insurance for a year, there's a mall right beside the building, work is across the street, and when I do go to college It's a 15 minute walk.

I've thought it through, and I can't wait.

I want to become an illustrator for a whole number of different areas involving the creative arts. I want to design album sleeves, posters, covers and layout design for bands that truely inspire me; I want to get my comic off the ground but if not, to illustrate or ink for a writer; I want to display work and installations in galleries and to curate shows for friends I've met in Fine Art who produce some seriously stunning pieces of work; I want to concept environments and architechture for movies and games; I want to push the envelope at every opportunity; I want to really get into making music alot more when I've got some time and interwine it with my art.

Those are all the top things I think about the most and I honestly wouldn't mind venturing down any one of those paths, if not all of them over the next 20 to 30 years.

So you're looking at ~$420 bucks a month for just rent, cable, phone, and food. Probably another 100+ or so for entertainment purposes, another 50 for miscellaneous purchases like toilet paper, paper towels, random other shit.

What are you going to do for health insurance? Do you have any student loans right now? You'll probably have to start paying them back if you stop going to school for that amount of time. Do you have a girlfriend or plan on having one? They're expensive too.

I get benefits (health insurance) at work, I have no debts right now, not even a credit card, and that $420 is split between 3 people. No girlfriend right now :)()

$750 x 3 people is $2250 we get each month (half of that every 2 weeks).

I admit I can make tons of cash just living at home, but I kind of want to move out to get the experience you know? I'll have to do it sometime.

No, that 420 + everything else I listed is just you. Thats your 1/3 rent, and your own food and cell bill.

Unless you guys are going to be fags who share all your incomes and bills and expenses like a three way homomarriage.

lol, that sounded way angrier and assholish than I intended. I'm keeping it that way.

Since everyone else wants a woman, I'd like to find a nice intelligent man to settle down with...any takers?

Ok, $500 and I make $750.

I'll actually probably make more, since I'll be able to work anytime. I make that just working weekends and after school 2 days a week. Now I'll be able to work during the day.

STOP STANDING IN THE WAY OF MY GOALS KRYNN.

I'd like a dumb as bricks blonde I can bang for a night without any consequences.

Well that depends, are you a man or a woman?

EDIT: Oh wait... its you...

@ Dog. I stand where I want bitch. Also, you should plan for it being more than 500 bucks. It ALWAYS costs more than you think. I've been living on my own for 3 years now, and I was taken by surprise when I found out how much it cost.

I wanna be somewhat famous, I want to continue skateboarding and playing music, I want a nice house with a nice family and a well paying job.

I agree with Willie, it's good to have something to work for.

I plan on having no money ever.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY NOW, I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR IT KRYNN YOU DREAM SMASHER.

You're actually going to be in deep financial debt.

I started cooking for myself today! And not cheapass-college-student microwave "cooking" either - I've got some Afghan rice cooking in the rice cooker, and some vegetable stir-fry on the way. It smells like the best meal I'm going to have had in a long time.

I also, for some reason, edited my original post to be this instead of just making a new post.

Get a math degree, make enough money doing whatever it is I'd do with that degree to be comfortable, buy a house, and have fun.

You want to find a lesbian gay bisexual transgender partner? You're pretty much out of luck there babe.

I want to be a professional writer. Either an author, a script writer or a journalist, it's all good, so long as it's something that involves writing, as that's my best skill. Being a children's party planner would've been good as well but seeing as that's not going to happen I'd just write a book about planning children's parties.
Other goals include: continuing my horse riding lessons and learning to jump (I've got along way to go if I want to get that far! I'm still only novice bordering on intermediate!), get my own place, get a cat, get a partner and get a motorbike. And on the motorbike note, another goal of mine is to ride across America on a Harley. I could also list travelling to New Zealand as a goal as well.

To stay alive and have a good time doing it.

I wanna publish and write a successful book. But I have no ****ing idea what on.

That seems kind of redundant.

I'd love to make films for a living. And not like, i do years of commercials between each and every one or them until i make another film. I'd rather have a good (brief) career making commercials/music clips/doco's before making a feature good enough for people to recognise me and finance future projects so i can then keep making my own films until i die or grow sick of it.

I'm at a stage now where i'm doing my honours degree at what's supposedly one of the best film schools in Australia and i'm one of the top students in the course based on the quality and content of what films they produce. I sound like a an absolute wanker when i say this, but thats the total truth. I think my goal is definitely feasible as long as i can conquer my apathy and actually get around to entering my current film into film festivals.

I want to make it to the Evolution 2009 SFIV semi-finals bracket. I have no other goals on my mind but this one. I will make it to Evo.

So... my goal is to be able to make games in XNA and using it to help me further learn C# and shit.

I'm reading this XNA book... and I shit you not, this is in the summary of the second chapter.

"While the default framerate in XNAdraws a new frame every 16 milliseconds,
that is nothing compared to the default framerate of Chuck Norris?s fists. On
average, Chuck?s fists punch and mortally wound enemies every 4 milliseconds."
