2 - Doom 3
3 - Call of Cthulhu (guess it is a FPS)
4 - MoHPA
5 - HL 2 (it will probably climb higher once we'll know the release date)
6 - Far Cry

That actually pathetic..liking a game less then you would when u knew the release date? lol..

is this your way of being angry about the delay? ( wich happens to all games)

no, read the title of the thread master of the obvious.

Your most anticipated FPS

his anticipation for the title (be it HL2 or whatever) is lessened due to the fact that he doesnt know when it will make it's appearance.

same with me, my most anticipated is Battlefield: Vietnam, simply because it is coming out REAL soon :D

instead of disecting someone elses post, perhaps in the future you should post your own opinion on the topic at hand, or not post at all.

To anticipate is just to look forward to something (usually with pleasure). I don't look forward to HL2 (or any game for that matter) any less because its release was moved back a few months. If a crappy game was coming out in five minutes and a great game was coming out in five years I would anticipate the great game... not because of the time until the release date, but because of the quality of the game.

For example: I know that Far Cry is coming out months before HL2 but since I think the AI is retarded and the story sounds stupid I am not anticipating its release... whereas with HL2 I am greatly anticipating its release because I think it will be a great game.

Another example: Even though BF:V is coming out very soon I still anticipate its release much less than a game that has no definate release date (or it is just very far away) because it is just a slightly updated BF1942.

Honestly, quality put aside, a game with a nearby, fixed release date naturally generates more hype then a game with a distant, indefinite release date.

Consider this: the closer you get to Christmas, the more people get hyped about all the presents and other Christmas stuff. It's the same thing with games.

For me, when a game nears release I do not look forward to it any more than I did before (unless I hear new information or that there have been changes to the game). It's more of a sense of relief... that the wait is finally over.

Do not mention Christmas in my presence. It is an evil holiday that is gradually enveloping the entire year. I remember times when Halloween was just Halloween and the "Christmas cheer" wasn't infecting it. Every year the Christmas season, the shopping, the movies, and the stupid lights come earlier than the year before. Soon we will be starting the Christmas season on Christmas Eve of the year before. Christmas is a corporate holiday in a religious disguise.

My most anticipated games in this order:
1.HL2
2.D3
3.Far Cry
4.Stalker
5.R6-3:Athena Sword

The real question is...Is christmas a game? Because if it isnt then why bother having a big post about it?

My most anticipated game right now is Far Cry, because it's so close to being released :).
