I can't believe how many people are playingat the arow keys instead of wasd. At wasd you have much more buttons to configure.

On topic - I use invert mouse.

I really only play DoD atm, so:

WSAD
lmb: primary attack
rmb: secondary
mouse4: a knifewhip script (whips out knife and slashes while button is held down)
mouse5: stopsound
z: prone
ctrl: duck
shift: sprint
space: jump
e: use
r: reload
F9: sensitivity 2
F10: sensitivity 6
left arrow: "i need backup" hand signal plus say_team location
up arrown: "grenade!" voice comm plus global say location
Mouse wheel for weapon switching

Pretty muchly standard as you can see. I also have global chat binds on ; ' Home End and Page Up, with Insert set to execute my script.

I've been using the WASD setup since 1998 or so. Strangely enough, it was BattleZone that got me into it. I played it a lot, and when I played Quake again, I instinctively went for the WASD keys. Then I decided to reconfigure my controls.

W: forward
A: strafe left
S: back
D: strafe right

Looking around and aiming is done with the mouse, obviously (inversed). The left button shoots while the right button jumps (usually). The rest depends on the game, but usually I try to make the controls as uniform as possible accross different games.

t - strafe left (middle finger)
y - strafe right (index)
f - crouch (ring finger)
c - jump (pinky finger)
spacebar - backwards (thumb)
Rt mouse - move forwards
Lt Mouse - primary fire
Alt - alt fire
r - lean left
u - lean right
g - use
h - switch to nade(shotgun in d3)
b - buy/others
v - prone
mouse wheel - switch weapons

I think my configuration is the best since my hand is in the middle of the keyboard and balanced for more keys for quick access. You guys should try out my config. it's pretty natural for my hand. my bro designed this config. I've stuck with it for years.

Space is jump
ctrl crouch
e (or a mouse button, depending on the mouse) use
r (or a mouse button, depending on the mouse) reload

f is flashlight usaually
Then keys around are sued for misc actions
