Hey guys

I just wanna know you' current spec's

Heres mine

2.53 GHz 533 FSB
1042 PC2100
ATI radeon 9800 pro 128 MB
WD 200 GB 7200 rpm, 8mb cache

Getting in less then a week

3.2 GHZ with HT and 800 FSB
1024 PC4000 twinX
ATI radeon 9800 pro 256 MB
wd 250 GB 7200 rpm 8 mb cache
wd 200 GB 7200 rpm, 8 mb cache

2.0ghz
256DDR
Raeon 9600pro

....there :dozey:

Whats the point in gettin that new one when you can run HL2 fine on your current one ? :|

Digital.dk.. I have a similar system now and I am very happy with it.

My specs:

3124MHz 1040fsb (OC'ed Intel 2.4C 800fsb)
1024mb OCZ Technology PC4000 @ 520MHz
ATi Radeon 9800Pro 128mb
2x Maxtor 160GB 7200rpm 8mb cache
Maxtor 200GB 7200rpm 8mb cache SATA

I don't really think you need the 9800pro with 256mb.. The 128mb is so close in performance you wont even know the difference.

Another suggestion is to get a cheaper cpu with good cooling and OC it to 3.2GHz.

What motherboard are you thinking of getting (brand/model/chipset)?

First of all nice specs dude :)

Well about the ATI thing my mom is getting the old, but i can also use it for LAN gaming .. iam not upgrading iam getting a whole new PC

And the motherboard is a: MSI: MS-875P NEO-FIS2R

Oh IC..

I have a Asus P4C800-E Deluxe myself...It's a very stabile board and I am very happy with it. I was thinking of getting Abit's new model, IC7-MAX3. But I ended up getting the Asus board.

I hope every thing works out with your new system and good luck with that.. Btw are you building it yourself?

um no :)
His fsb is 100...he has sdram.
DDR is 2xMemory mhz.
FSB rating is 2 (Athlon XP) or 4 (P4) x FSB mhz
FSB is different than the FSB rating everyone lists.
The true FSB is 100/133/166/200 etc. Not 400 or 800.
What about an P4 with 800 fsb? It is a 200 FSB that samples 4 times (4x200=800).
They say 800 because it should be as fast as a FSB that samples once at 800mhz.

Nofriends there is no reason to OC the 3.2, especially since its not that great an OCer.

Whether your giving the computer to your mom or not...She is going to be the only non-gaming woman in the world with a 9800 pro, guaranteed......

Of all the bastardizations of "your" and "you're", I congratulate you on your new creation: "you'r". I love originality. Don't get me started on their/there/there's/theirs, though.

ahah yes...there needs to be a public service announcement made on tv about this...it needs to be run every commercial break on every channel from after school until 2AM every day.

"ATTENTION"

"YOUR DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE"

"their/there/there's/theirs" ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE."

we now return to your regularly scheduled program.

i can understand people wanting to shorten you're because it can be a lot to type if you're slow. but some people just don't know there's a difference.
