1. The Legend of Zelda: ALttP
2. Super Mario World
3. Super Mario All-Stars - Best collection of games evar.
4. Sonic & Knuckles
5. Super R-type

I don't really have a top five, but notable ones I loved:

- Super Mario World (and Allstars but that's 8 bit technically I think)
- Super Mario Kart
- Donkey Kong Country 1,2,3
- Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday
- Super Star Wars
- Uniracer

You may be right about all-stars. I thought it was 16 because they updated the grapics. The original SMB and the All-Stars versions don't look a thing alike.

It might be, I don't know. I've played the NES versions and the ones in All Stars and I never noticed a difference, but I wasn't looking for one :p

I don't recall whether or not these were 16-bit. I believe they weren't any higher...

1) Cannon Fodder
2) Sensible Soccer
3) Super Mario Kart
4) ?????????
5) Net Loss.

There was also Skidmarks. I don't remember how many (juicy)bits it had, but it wasn't many. These are all games I played on the Amiga 500, aside from Super Mario Kart obviously.

I never got into A Link to the Past. I played it on gameboy, but not until after I had already played through Ocarina of Time, so I think that ruined it for me.

Oh I forgot:

- Mario Paint

In no particular order.

  1. Legend Of Zelda
  2. Zelda A link to the past
  3. super mario 2
  4. super mario 3
  5. 1943

I've heard alot of people say that ALttP is the best zelda game.

Super Mario Kart World
Super Luigi Kart World
Super Zelda Kart World
Super Sonic Kart World
Super Super Kart World

/me checks rom folder

- Chrono Trigger (obviously)
- Seiken Densetsu 3 (or Secret of Mana 2)
- Harvest Moon (I LIEK FARMAN)
- Sonic & Knuckles (or 3, don't remember which was more awesome... possibly 3 and knuckles)

And umm...

- Gunstar Heroes probably, even though I sucked at it

Edit - Oh damn, or um... Kirby, something. Allstars or Superstars or some shit. Whichever one let you transform into a samurai. Shit was off the hook.

...never owned a 16-bit console. Went straight from 8-bit to PCs. Super Mario brothers was fun to play at my friends house though.

Adding some extras to my top five.

-Topgear
-Ultimate MK 3
-Samurai Showdown

Only game I know of being explicitely 16 bit by label was Sonic 2. But apparently tons were :rolling:

I think I mixed up 8-bit and 16 bit. I'll go with final fantasy 2 then.

nes- 8 bit
snes/genesis - 16 bit

Donkey Kong
Super Mario World
Super R-Type
Clay Fighter
Disney's the Lion King (Yes, I stand by this decision)

There's tons more that I probably adored much more, but these came to mind.

In no order:

Street Fighter 2
Super Mario World
Yoshi's Island
The Legend of the Mystical Ninja/Goemon the Warrior
Secret of Mana

Chrono Trigger and FF6 both come in very close.

Alien Breed 3d (Amiga 1200, was that 16bit?)
Alien Breed Tower Assault
Sensible World Of Soccer
Shadow Fighter
Walker

Well, since I never got the 16 bit console I'll just post my favorite NES game

-Battle City

Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Ristar
Mario Kart
Soleil
Land of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse

I could never understand how to beat the first boss in Ristar.
You just smash him, and then before you fall back to the ground grab and smash him again. You do that until the thing on his back falls off, then you attack that.

1. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
2. Super Mario World
3. Donkey Kong Country
4. Super Mario All-Stars
5. NBA Jam

NES = Genesis
Saturn had no competition
N64 > Dreamcast gameplay wise
Gamecube and beyond has no competition from sega.

I like sega more than nintendo, but I know when to give up.
