Disturbed (David Draiman is the only person who gives me chills by just speaking :O )

I reccommend you go listen to some A Perfect Circle or Tool. Maynard James Keenan's vocals are just haunting. A lot better than David Draiman in my opinion (the only good talent in the band...).

No Leaf Clover is prolly the best one on that album... but the originals of One, Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, etc. are much better...

I thought the S&M version of Nothing Else Matters was a lot better than the original. And Fat Tony, Dyer's Eve isn't on S&M is it? Are you confusing it with Battery or something?

Band - favorite song (no particular order)

1. Coldplay - Clocks
2. Pink Floyd - Hmm...probably learning to fly
3. David Bowie - Space Oddity
4. The Eagles - A toss up between Hotel California and Dust in the wind
5. Red Hot Chili peppers - no favorite really

I was surprised at how many people were hard rock fans. Personally i can't stand it. But each to their own. As you can tell by my list, i'm a soft rock person.

Some other bands that i like are The Black Mages (FF Live remixes), Travis (yeah i know some people might say this is 12 year old girl stuff, but i don't give a damn, i like a lot of it i.e. side, love will come through, but some if it is a bit too 'mushy' for me) Rammstein (i said i don't like hard rock, but i wouldn't really classify this as hard) Someone also mentioned FF music, i really like some of the OCRemix's (www.ocremix.org) of it. Hell, i like a lotta stuff that site has to offer. Lynard Skynard, Starsailor (this band has a lot of unique instrumentation i like, but sometimes they don't pull it off too well.)

Anyway, there's my list

They Might Be Giants
DragonForce
Radiohead
Ass Ponies
Fountains of Wayne

gogo variance.

Oh yeah, Foo Fighters and Placebo are awesome. Sleeping with Ghosts is a great album.

Anyone mention Nirvana yet? That's a pretty obvious one.

No Leaf Clover is prolly the best one on that album... but the originals of One, Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, etc. are much better...
Well considering that No leaf clover is on the same album as One, E""man, Nothi""". But well I really love No leaf clover I think its one of their best.
I thought the S&M version of Nothing Else Matters was a lot better than the original. And Fat Tony, Dyer's Eve isn't on S&M is it? Are you confusing it with Battery or something?
No it isnt, it was a random song I wanted to point out because I loved it :O. Those are my favorite songs there I listed, basicly in my opinion S&M is "the best of metallica" ive never heard rock music go so well with a orcestra(sp).but there are a few that arnt included mainly because there are too many good songs to fit on one album  and because some of the best songs are covers :p(i.e most of Garage inc disk 1.) and it would be a bit of a contradiction to play them live. Is "Astromony" (sp again :\) a cover too? it doesnt sound like a metallica piece but I really loved it. Ok anyway ive said enough, metallica are great :D.

-2pac
-eminem
-DR-DRE
-LIMP BIZKIT
-prodigy

-Led zep
-Rush
-Dream Theater
-Slayer
-Tool

Good stuff.

3: Metallica
4: Led Zeppelin
5: Godsmack

5. Hot hot heat (decent but not exactly inspiring)

Operation Ivy
Crass
Subhumans
The Unseen

real punk kids......real punk

I don't really listen to any particular band more than others, mostly its just a collective of songs from a lot of different bands. Like, I have one or two songs from one particular band but I haven't even listened to any of their other songs. But if I'd have to make a Top 5...

1. Led Zeppelin
2. Gyllene Tider (swedish band)
3. Metallica
4. Simon & Garfunkel
5. Jimi Hendrix/Queen

This is just based on the quantity of songs from each band that I listen to, and how often. Some of my favourite songs are from others bands, like Comfortable Numb with Pink Floyd, Hotel Calfornia with Eagles, 747 with Kent (another swedish band). Some REM aswell, quite alot of Cat Stevens, one or two Leonard Cohen songs, some AC/DC and Iron Maiden, lots of classical music, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Mando Diao and Caesars Palace, Rollings Stones and so forth.

Heck, it would be easier to list the bands I dont listen to. Korn, Blink 182, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit and all those other nu-metal and skate-punk ( I know I'm generalizing but I can't be arsed to go into fuzzy sub-genres) bands will never find their way into my speakers.

Yeah that makes sense vetebulle thats exactly what i do most of the time

My list has changed a bit  (more mellow :E )

Phish (ty Penny)
Catch 22 (ty Colonel Sanders)
Death Cab For Cutie (ty Private Hawkeye)

King Crimson

5 I'm currently listening to the most:

Frank Zappa
King Crimson
Parliament/Funkadelic (they're almost the same band, so...)
Mahavishnu Orchestra
Cynic (Tool owes them all that "spiritual" vibe. But they kick Tool's ass, metal-wise)
