Zelda real review (for reals)

Good.

Yes, the graphics are last gen, but so what? It doesn't matter what player models or textures a game has, if its a wonderful masterpiece of a game, it deserves all the ratings it can get.

I truly do hope that this zelda does not dissapoint us.

This is the Gamecube version, it's just a port.

And no, there's nothing wrong with last-gen graphics .... if they're on last-gen systems (or if they're not charging full price). Reminds me of all those PS2 games being released on 360 when it came out, yet they still charged $60 for it (Gun and Tony Hawk off the top of my head).

Whatever, it's Zelda and people love it. If you think it'd be better with the Wii controller then get it for that. The only thing I would say is if you weren't planning on buying a Wii anyway, then just wait for the GC version because it's the same thing.

Umm...that logic fails in this scenario:
Guy1: I want Zelda, I do not have a gamecube.
Guy1: A Wii looks good and I am going to get it.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get a Wii and Zelda for Wii rather than a Wii, GC, and Zelda for Gc?

My statement kinda assumed that you would have owned a GC, as most Zelda fans probably do. And obviously if you only want Zelda and plan on buying a Wii anyway ... it makes sense to buy the Wii version than a GC and the GC version ... don't see why I'd need to explicitly state that.

I like to find holes. Please don't hit me!

what's the difference between the Gamecube and the Wii version of this game?

knghenry you're not fooling anyone into believing you're a gamer ..if you're really interested you'd google it like everyone else

Other than the controls, very little. Only the Wii version supports widescreen - which is pretty important if you're playing on a 16:9 tele.

Well, for the people who say they are simply going to buy it on the GC I wouldn't really recommend it if your a huge Zelda fan. Every single review I have read has said that the Wii controller adds so much to the game its unbelievable.

It did orginally start out as a GC game but quickly went to the Wii. Its not a port from GC to Wii its a port from Wii to GC. The reason it doesn't look so good is because they had already made some art to suport GC and didn't want to end up with an inconsistant game (graphically) or get behind scedule for that matter.

I'm not buying a Wii for one launch title that I'm interested in.

The only bit that worries me about all the reviews so far is that it now takes 5 heart pieces to fill up a container. I know why (too many sidequests), but it'll confuse me till the end of the game.

Yeah, I'm getting this for the GC. I was hyped for the Wii when E3 was on, but I look at it now and theres only really two titles that take my intrest. The graphics... yeah, well, I could care less. I still enjoy OOT now. The controller? I'd like to play it Wii-style, but I know that Zelda is going to stun me way beyond it's innovative controlling system.

It has only just dawned on me how goddamn thankfull I am that this is actually coming out for the GC. Fuppin' GET IN.

I wasnt expecting anything else. The Zelda series are prolly going through the toughest quality controls in the industry. Nintendo is on the line here :)
